it appears the new bottles no longer use a blunt-tip needle for application, but a regular dropper instead.i used this on a bike with a 1x11 drivetrain, meaning relatively wide chain angles and a narrow-wide chainring. i applied to a used but degreased/cleaned chain, 1 drop per roller, then biked around a bit cycling through all the gears to deposit some lube everywhere before wiping the chain. initial impressions were that the drivetrain felt extremely smooth and was quieter than the lube i was previously using.as for longevity, i did an imperial century shortly after applying this lube. the drivetrain remained just as smooth the entire time, but the noise did increase a little from the narrow-wide chainring starting around the 70-mile mark. not by much and it probably might not be noticeable to most people if they weren't looking for it.too early to say anything about wear reduction, but so far i am satisfied with the performance and longevity of this lube

I never have been disappointed with something from Silca. Additionally, I use their hot melt wax on my road bike, SS drip lube to extend wax and their tire sealant products. All have been top notch.

I applied Synergetic to new chains on two bikes after stripping the factory lube with mineral spirits. The chains are very smooth and quiet after application. I have taken two rides on one of the bikes and wiped the chain down after them per the instructions - chain doesn't seem to be picking up much dirt so far. The lube does have a bit of a sulfur smell to it but it's not too bad.

Superior to all others by far. Expensive but you use very little and it lasts forever
