Software no funciona

13 FPS max output for live view
Needed a microscope camera for the new Amscope I picked up for my small repair business, so I figured how could I go wrong with an Amscope camera to go with it.Well, basically it just didn't do what it said it would, which is show a live image of what I was doing. Even when I hooked it up to a full-on gaming computer, the max framerate I was able to get was 13. That's after turning all the settings down to increase the framerate possible.I wasn't expecting max resolutions as a viewable framerate, but even at the lowest resolution it didn't do it for me. There is a delay, as well as the entire image blurs in between movements, making it pretty darn difficult to see what you're doing, let alone record it with any quality (which was also affected by the same blur when the part was moved at all).I went with a much cheaper HDMI camera and it's actually performing quite well, however I do miss the software that I was able to use with the USB camera, and I wonder if there's a camera that would let me have the best of both worlds. For now though, I'm set.

Nice camera.
Purchased to replace a 5MP camera that came bundled with the microscope. Excellent resolution. Included multiple adapters. Included very capable software.

Adequate for the price, but hard to focus
Inexpensive. Takes relatively sharp photos. It is not parfocal with the eyepieces, so all of the focal adjustment needs to be done by viewing the image on the computer screen. This is not as good as being able to get the sharpest focus by viewing the image through the eyepiece and then taking the photo, but it is OK, I guess. The main problem with that is that there is a lag time of a few seconds every time the focus is adjusted, before the image can be viewed on the computer screen, which means that it takes several steps, each taking several seconds before being able to find the sharpest focus for the camera.

Very good image quality.
I think the image quality is very good if you take the time to tweak the settings. I am somewhat disappointed in the lag time. I for some reason thought that this had a USB-C connection which is not the case. In my case it may not matter anyway as I am using it with a laptop that does not have a dedicated graphics card.
