Big Changes Coming
Well if you are looking for more sex and bondage from Stinnett this is your book! Lots of changes to many roles and again Jesse has a new girlfriend. My only complaint is how Stinnett ends several of his books, he tends to have Readers Digest endings short endings the Calvary rides in saves the day. I thought Jesse was going to have to tussle with Duke using his Marine training…he wasn’t even there? But looking forward to the gang doing PI work at the Keys!

A Review of Fallen Hero
One soon learns that the title of this book comes toward the end of the story. Another well written suspense filled story that gets Jesse and the team activated to help when several brutal murders occur and it appears and it appears a serial killer may be operating in the keys. An involved well written story. Our intrepid team saves the day led by Deuce and Jesse.

Engaging Story
I've read every book in this series, Fallen Hero is #10, and have enjoyed them all immensely. I've never been to the Florida Keys and remain intrigued by Wayne Stinnett's descriptions and travels through that area. In Fallen Hero, it looks like the government agency is coming to an end and all the characters are considering joining forces and starting up a new investigation agency. Meanwhile, Jesse's friend, Lawrence, the cab driver is being charged with murder after divers in his employ are ruthlessly murdered...his cashbox and gun were located at the murder site in the keys backcountry. Everyone chips in and help in solving the case and uncovering the real murderer and motives.Jesse also gets a new love interest, the banter and wit between characters are always enjoyable...causing one to laugh out loud at times. I am aware of the author's new series beginning soon and look forward to reading his new stories just as fast as he can spit them out. Each book in the series improves upon the preceding one and readers can watch the characters develop more in every story. I Highly recommend this series and the other books Wayne has written to date.

A good writer who needs to work on a few things.
According to the author’s comments, this is the last Jesse McDermitt Caribbean Adventure novel. But I see on his website there are a whole lot more books starring Jesse, just moving in a different direction. And that is not necessarily a bad thing. On the whole, this is not a bad book. I’d rank it as good as the best in the series. However, Mr. Stinnett still has work to do to make these books better. For one thing, he still insists on telling us every time Jesse takes a boat out that he put it up on plane. He does it 16 times here, and assuming he wrote it that many times in the previous books that’s over 150 times. Again, Mr. Stinnett, We. Get. It! We don’t need to be told it every time. It’s safe for you to assume that readers will understand that every time Jesse takes one of his boats out, he’ll put it up on plane. There are also still too many characters with too many similar names (Stinnett favors ones beginning with C and J), so many that even after 10 books, I can’t keep them straight. And I still haven’t sorted to who does and doesn’t live on his island. And finally, he still has some continuity problems. Two people get into a car and drive off. Two pages later the same two people pull up to a warehouse and each one gets out of a separate car.Still, I liked this tale well enough that I’ll give one of his new direction books a try.

A Fine Conclusion to a Great Series
Another very good book in the Jessie McDermitt universe. As always solid, well-rounded characters (even the two main bad guys). This book is the conclusion of this series of ten books, and as such it is the prelude to a new series beginning with Wayne Stinnet's next book that has him moving his focus from bad guy elimination to the world of private security. So most of the old characters are pulled together in this book and are joining up together to begin new careers working for Jessie and Deuce. It actually works well as a transition. Wayne is an excellent writer, a master of background, dialogue, local color and atmosphere. All in all a good read, maybe a bit predictable, but this is a Jessie McDermitt story and there isn't a lot of mystery when it comes to Jessie's character, he hasn't changed from the first book to the tenth book, which really isn't a bad thing at all.

Another Page-Turner!
As always, my most important criterion for a mystery/adventure story is, "Is it a page-turner?" And I can answer an unqualified, "YES!" I couldn't put it down. My only disappointment was that it had to end. Like all the books in this series, this is a great story. Every page is exciting. Every chapter makes you want to read JUST ONE MORE CHAPTER before you go to sleep. Next thing you know, you've read the entire book over a period of only two or three days, and you're sad that you have to wait months and months for the next one. I highly recommend this entire series as well as the Charity Styles series by the same writer, and the book Blue Collar to No Collar if you're an aspiring writer.

Not up to James Lee Burkes quality of description of the setting but pretty good nonetheless.
Well delivered characters and a believable plot. Good light reading. McDermitt is a likeable hero and not overdone. I will be reading a couple more.

What a Great Series
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all the Jesse McDermott stories and feel disappointed that there will be no more. All the characters are described in the right depth. The locations are obviously well known by the author. The action at times is fast paced and well described but in between the characters and locations are described in detail. Come on Wayne lets have more from the Caribbean counter terrorist unit.

Coudn't Put it Down
Wayne draws you in and you become part of the family he has created in the Keys. His description of how he used his boats, "Bringing up on plane" etc., His knowledge of diving all serve to encompass the reader in the story and feel they were there.
