Good for normal Cat 6 cable don't even try it for cat 6 A solid core 23 AWG
So I got this product because it specifically called out that it would work with 23 AWG Cat 6 A solid core wire. This is definitely not the case there is not enough room to even get the wires inside the RJ45 connector. Now just to prove to myself that I know how to make a cable I grabbed my normal Cat 6 cable and made it up in about 5 min tested perfect no probs. The wires slid right though no worries and thus works as expected. This is the only reason I'm not returning this product as I will have a use for it with my other cabling needs. However I'm back to shopping around for proper connectors for 23 AWG CAT 6A -- so in closing you want to make some solid cat 6 this is what you want no worries just don't try it on the larger solid core copper.

A Cat5e connector mold seemingly modified to accept 23AWG wire does not make this a Cat6 connector
These are Going back. They are Not as pictured or described. Last image shown on the description on Amazon shows a cross section of a Cat6 connector with 3-Prong pins. What I received was an Orbtech container that was labeled as a Cat6a connector. However, it had 2-Prong pins and the Connectors looked to be from a mold of a Cat5e connector. Looks like they simply modified the mold of a Cat-5e connector to produce a connector that accepted the thicker 23AWG wire AND they still kept the 2-Prong pins while touting that they had 3-prong pins. The 2-prong pins doesnโt bother me as much as that the body of the connector is that of what I understood to be that of a Cat5e connector - - See where the distance from the pins to where the end of the twists in the wires would have to be in this connector is longer in what was received compared to that cross section image that is in their description. Just because it can accept the thicker 23AWG wire found in Cat6a wire does not make this a proper Car6 connector. - Having those slightly longer wire guide-slots that lead up to the pins, like a standard Cat5e connector, may result in crosstalk and lower than Cat6a performance levels when used with Cat6a wire as the twists in the wire pairs are not as close as possible to where the pins pierce the wire.

Knock off garbage, half the ends don't pass through wires regardless of guage
Stick with the real Platinum Tools ends, these are junk. Thought I'd save a few bucks, instead I throw out every other end I take from the jar. The variance in the manufacturing of the holes in these is incredible, one end accepts standard 23 AWG CAT-6, the next end does not (on the SAME run of wire). Very much an exercise in frustration if you're up on a lift terminating some wires, or even sitting at your desk making a quick cable. Again, stick with the genuine deal and pass on these knock-offs.Either they simply are dumping in CAT5 ends with CAT6 ends, so you never know wtf you're getting when you go to make a cable, or the manufacturing tolerances are just way out there... Maybe these will be fine if all you are using a CAT5 riser, but with decent quality CAT6 cabling these were a PITA.

WORKS GREAT
Great quality material. Well use for multiple wires. I desided to use some for my computer set up, while giving the rest of it to my University Computer Lap. No such complains for the past week i have used it, so hopefully it continues to works well. ๐๐ผ
