It's a full size mug. It's quite heavy but that helps to keep drinks of hot chocolate warm.

I’m a Harry Potter fan so this was a gift from me to me….I’m really happy I bought it. I really like the cauldron shape. The feet on the bottom are nice and sturdy and the mug stands securely. I love all the Harry Potter images around the outside and the fact that the Harry Potter writing is set inside the rim. It appears nicely glazed and I can’t see any flaws. It doesn’t come boxed which is something to consider if you are giving it as a gift. It’s dishwasher and microwave safe according to the label. I have put it through the dishwasher and it was fine. The mug is big…it holds 1.5 times what I would call a standard mug so you get a generous cuppa. The sizes quoted on Amazon are accurate. If I had to criticise it at all I would say it’s quite heavy. I do find ( despite it having a good sized handle) that it’s a little too heavy for me. I’ve found it easier for me to not completely fill it but that’s just my personal choice. I’m sure anyone who is a Harry Potter fan would love this. It’s nice enough to display as a decorative piece if you have a Harry Potter collection. Price wise it’s worth the money. It feels and looks great quality and I’d happily buy this again as a gift for a friend.

I bought these for my tree stand with two other HP cauldron design mugs and these look great! Style is easy to hold and keep your brew nice and warm!
