Pleasantly surprised. High quality mexican blanket that is double thick with vibrant colors. Hecho en Mexico not China which is awesome.

It is what it is. At this point, I am just giving up on my hunt for Virgin Mary Blankets that are actually “super soft. Once upon a time I purchased a Solaron brand Guadalupe blanket and it was super soft. It was one of those Korean Mink/San Marcos style thickness type and I fell in love. It did cost me a pretty penny tho, about $80. These are 1/2 the price so what did i expect to get? Look, the blanket looks just like in the picture, the colors are nice and the size is correct.. but the actual softness? I am not even talking about the thickness either because I knew given the price I was paying that this wouldn’t be super thick and its not, but thats not the point here. My bitterness is coming from the way the blanket feels. Its not the softest.. Its soft but not “SOFT”. Picture leaving one of these blankets out in the sun for a little bit and it get a little “scratchy” or “stiff”??? I wish I could explain it better but the point is that maybe since its as thick as a regular throw vs the 12 lb Solaron I bought that is super thick and heavy.. maybe thats why it’s scratchy. I am afraid to wash it, but I am going to anyways to see if maybe it softens it a little more. The main reason I am NOT returning this is because they are MADE IN MEXICO and as a fellow paisana myself I am all for supporting the raza and Mexican businesses so I will tough it out and keep it. Besides, finding blankets with designs of the Virgen Maria is super hard (and trust me I have looked!) so there is no way I will get rid of these ANYWAYS, for collecting purposes!BOTTOM LINE: If you have never had a San Marcos, Solaron, 12 LB korean mink blanket then you won’t have nothing to compare this too and it will probably be perfectly fine for you.

I was thinking that this blanket was going to be too thin and then it was not going to keep my warm. I decided to take my chances. When it arrived, it is on the thinner side but that is very deceiving. When I slept with it, it is unbelievably warm. I often have to take this blanket off me at night because it get's too warm. I then use my sheet until I cool off. It is soft on the picture side and on the sherpa side it's fuzzy and soft as well. I have washed it on the hand wash cycle. The only down fall is that it states that you cannot put it in the dryer. I don't want to chance it, so I just drape it over my kitchen table chairs in my living room and the blanket dries in about 3-4 hours. The size is a little risky. I would say buy a size up. I have a queen size bed and the one I bought was for a queen size bed and it just covered the very top of my bed. In the future I would order a king or California king size. I like my blankets to hang off the sides of my bed top. Great buy, it is well worth it.

Authentic Mexican throw. It's reminiscent of the blankets my grandmother had in her home. It's very soft and held up well after washing. No shedding proble. I washed on delicate cycle and dried on low heat. Came out perfect! It is definitely worth the low price!

Wow this is definitely authentic! Reminds me of home. Right out the box, the material is silky soft and covered my queen size bed and then some. I love the beautiful art work of the Virgin Mary. I would recommend it to my friends and family. Happy customer!

When we were young, our parents would take us to border towns in Mexico. We would always come back with blankets. They were very durable, comfortable and would make great gifts. I found these blankets and they are exactly what I expected. I Love Them
