Ended up coming home from a carnival with some goldfish so purchased this as a temporary home (we were aware that goldfish would grow out of the tank eventually.) The goldfish didn't make it but since we had the tank set up we decided to get a Betta. It's been a few months and we are very happy with the purchase. The Betta seems to enjoy his home, he has a lot of room in this tank. The filter isn't too noisy and seems to do it's job. I'm a bit worried about the lights giving out since they do not appear to be able to replaced easily but we do love the selection of colors.Edit - Not even 6 months later and the filter is no longer working. It's running but water is no longer running through it. We tried to clean it out and troubleshoot and couldn't identify what the problem is. Tank is still okay but clearly durability is an issue, dropping from the original 5 star review as expectations were certainly not met with regards to life expectancy.

The tank is beautiful and very nice, we like the shape of it, but I hate the timer on the light. I did not realize the light was on a time when I purchased it or I would not have bought it. I turn on the fish tank lights in the morning and turn them off at night before I go to bed. I also use it as a reminder each morning that I fed the fish. With this light turning itself off after a couple of hours I sometimes forget if I fed them. Also, it leaves the fish in complete darkness all day/night long.The filter that came with this however is horrible. It quit sucking up water and the filter was bone dry after 3 days of usage. It was making a very awful noise as the pump tried to work. I tried re-filling the filter but the water wouldn’t stay in it. It is very weird but now I have to spend the money to go buy a new filter because the fish can not be without. After purchasing a new out-of-tank filter I realized there is a big bulge on the back of the tank where the filter should go, meaning the new filter can't sit nicely on the tank. Most tanks are flat all the way across on all seems. Not this one, so the new filter has to rest against the wall on the top of the tank making things very awkward.I've grown to hate this tank and cannot recommend it. You can't change the accessories (filter) easily and timer for the lights is just flat out annoying.

Tank came cracked but the company sent me a new one within one day, completely hasle free and no charge. This is absolutely beautiful and good for the price. It’s plastic which can be annoying but it’s exactly what I was looking for when upgrading my betta from a 3 gallon to something a little bigger. He seems really happy with the space and I really like the LED lights that came with it. The filter is very quiet almost too quiet to where I didn’t know if it was even on; and the flow is calm enough that my betta doesn’t mind swimming in that current. Oh and my snail is happy too! Tank is roughly the size of one 12 pound fluffy mutt.

I found a 6.5" crack in the front.I really wanted this tank, so I researched the tank.The plastic isn't strong enough to hold the pressure.Many people had cracks.I seen it was leaking and I picked it up to take it to the sink, and it split even more.Do not pick up this tank with water in it.The lights are too close to the water,so they last an average of 2 months.The filter is not very good.It sure was pretty, though. :(
