The Best way to make cookies
โข100% Organic coconut flour โขRich texture and a unique, natural sweetness โขA good source of protein and gluten free โขHigh in fiber, low in digestible carbohydrates โขDelicious, healthy alternative to wheat and other grain flours We also tried coconut flour in many other recipes including my families nutball recipe. The first attempts didn't work out too well but we eventually found a good substitution ratio and the results were really quite amazing. We have also made muffins, pancakes and even english muffins. What I have learned is that Coconut flour is truly a unique flour and with a little bit of experimentation and patience, it can really be an amazing substitute for more popular flours. It is a much dryer flour and as such you will have to compensate for that in your recipes. Many times this can be countered by adding more eggs. I have found that a good starting point is a substitution of roughly 20-30%. Its also important to note that most of the fat/oil has been taken out so Coconut flour is not a good source for people looking to get coconut oil into their diet. You need to buy the meat or the oil separately if your looking to put some coconut oil into your diet. The flour itself actually goes through processes that pull the oil out. Bottom line - Coconut flour really is a very unique flour. It has a light flavor and can really add magic to your recipes. On top of that its absolutely loaded with fiber. Coconut flour will make a magnificent addition to your kitchen cupboard. Again all it takes is a little experimentation and a little patience and you will quickly learn just how wonderful this flour really is. I cant give this flour a higher recommendation.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Coconut flour is soft, very fine, & mixed very easily into my first use making delicious coconut flour muffins!
Started to try Paleo recipes and this is my first time using Coconut Flour to bake and the experience with Bob's Red Mill Organic Coconut Flour was a joy! After reading the reviews of the different brands of coconut flour I decided to buy this one and I do not regret my decision. HIGH QUALITY! The flour is soft, very fine, and mixed very easily into my first use making coconut flour muffins. The recipe was for 1/2 cup of coconut flour with no other flours produced 12 awesome muffins. The muffins were delicious! I highly recommend this coconut flour as a superior product that will make every recipe turn out fabulous! Here is the recipe for: Paleo Banana Nut Coconut Flour Muffins Ingredients 4 Bananas, mashed with a fork (more ripe the better) 4 Eggs 1/2 Cup Almond Butter 2 Tbsp. Coconut Oil, melted 1 Tsp Vanilla 1/2 Coconut Flour (Bob's Red Mill Organic) 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon 1/2 Tsp Nutmeg 1 Tsp Baking Powder 1 Tsp Baking Soda 1/4 Tsp Salt Directions 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line muffin tins with paper cups or grease with coconut oil 2. In large bowl add mashed bananas, beaten eggs, almond butter, melted coconut oil, and vanilla, blend to combine. 3. In small bowl combine coconut flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, mix to combine. 4. Add the dry ingredients into the large bowl with the wet mixture, blend and mix well scrapping the sides of bowl with a spatula. 5. Distribute batter evenly into the muffin tins, filling each about 2/3 full. 6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. I found these muffins cook very quickly, so check with a toothpick in about 15 minutes keeping a close eye on them the first time you make them. Recipe from www.paleogrubs.com

Excellent quality and price
I'm a huge fan of non-wheat flours, and some of my favorites include chickpea, flax and coconut. My local health food stores were having trouble getting the coconut flour, so I checked here on Amazon for it, and sure enough, there it was. You won't be able to beat the price when buying the 4 pack, so 5 stars for pricing. I prefer Bob's Red Mill flours over other brands because of their high quality, and their coconut flour is no exception. It has a very fine consistency, that makes it easy to work with, not to mention it is organic with no additives added. 5 stars for quality. It has a light fragrant aroma, and is great for baking sweets and breads of most kinds. I concur with another reviewer, in that you need to pay attention to the liquid in your recipes when using coconut flour, for it typically takes just a smidgen more than what it calls for to prevent dryness in your final product. Store in the fridge like the manufacture recommends, because it will lose some flavor if stored on a pantry shelf. By the way, for those of you who may be diabetic or celiac, coconut flour is low glycemic (both index and load), high in fiber and gluten-free. This coconut flour is definitely a Veggie Goddess favorite in the kitchen.

Great Product
I'm new to cooking with coconut flour, but Bob's Red Mill is my go to. The best part about the product was the price! 4 bags came together for the price of 1.5. My only small tiny issue was there was flour in the box, so it was a little messy when having to open a bag. Other than that, great product, I would purchase again.

excellent product!
We are low carb dieting and looking for alternatives to grain flour so that we can enjoy some of our favorite baked goods and still stay within our daily carb limits. I made us a low carb coconut cream pie that was definitely better than any regular ones you can buy frozen. It was ALMOST as good as the pie I make when I'm not trying to stay low carb. I used the coconut flour for the crust and slightly sweetened it so that it was like a cookie crust. Just keep in mind that it is not going to have the same consistency as a crust made with grain flour, I guess because of the lack of gluten? So instead of attempting to roll it out, I just pressed it into the pie plate, poked some holes in it with a fork, and baked until crisp, then added the filling. I also used it as a thickener in the custard for the coconut cream filling. Worked and tasted great! I look forward to experimenting with more recipes by switching this for the regular flour. By being able to include some treats like this into our low carb diet, it helps to keep us from temptation of cheating.

Healthy But......
Yes....this is a healthy alternative for flour, but I personally found it very difficult to work with. I didn't find this to be a stand-alone product, and it should really be used in conjunction with traditional flour. In other words, if your recipe calls for 2 Cups of flour, I'd use 1 Cup of traditional flour and combine it with 1 Cup of coconut flour for better results. Then again, an experienced baker may have a completely different take on it.

The Coconut Flour is great but two of the four packages arrived CUT and leaking -- I had to throw them away! I didn't realize this until now as I took one out of the box and started to use it, but then today I was going through the box and noticed that there was flour everywhere. I was hoping only one had the issue but two of the four ended up being clearly cut in the corners, already open. This is terrible! What a waste. Cheaper to buy in person where I can inspect the package first. Very disappointed.

Best price & quality of all I've tried
Some of the negative reviews for this are simply from people unfamiliar with coconut flour. It's a unique product that takes some getting used to... certainly not a traditional flour, and definitely a little more dense and with a tendency to clump. That's because it's just COCONUT, not flour at all. You really need to find some good coconut flour recipes in order to get comfortable working with it. I follow a paleo diet, so have several cookbooks and recipes from the internet that I use. It's so worth the learning curve, as coconut flour is highly nutritious, low in carbs and high in fiber. Great pantry staple for those eating gluten/grain-free. Bob's is a great product, I definitely find it clumps less than other brands. I still suggest sifting before using to get out any lumps. Amazon's subscribe & save price is definitely cheaper than buying the bags individually.
