You can get just the pump head (94-236-11). You are looking at 2-3 weeks before I could have one in.

Can this be used to pump "catchment " water?

This pump is by no means what would be considered a trash pump, and will not handle solids that are in the water. If it is clean and foreign material free, i think you would be okay.
