I chose this leash extender because when my dog gets impatient or frustrated on a walk he tends to reach around and chew on his leash, including his Flexi-leash, which of course is expensive and more likely to break after he does this. So my idea was to use a leash extender that could be replaced close to his head.The extender is pretty good. It is exactly 24" or two feet from end to end, including the hardware, which is slightly smaller than I expected (I thought the rope part would be two feet). The rope part is in fact plastic, and although one reviewer was unhappy that it's slimmer than her finger, I think it has pretty good strength. The hardware is good quality and when I used the extender to walk my dog (a 90 lb Akita) I didn't have any worries about its holding him. I don't know about the overall durability, and would suspect that the rope is a weakness. I only tried it a couple times.That said, I don't think it will work for my purpose anyway. When I attach the extender to the leash, the part where it clips is heavy, so when my dog and I are walking it swings and bounces in a way that feels kind of unsafe. I don't want my dog getting bonked by it if he turns. It also drags the leash towards his feet and he gets tangled more often than he does if we just use the Flexi-leash alone. The Flexi-leash mechanism doesn't seem to be strong enough to keep the leash taut with the extra weight.I'm not sure what a person would be doing with a leash extender where the weight of the clip wouldn't be an issue, but if you think you have one, you might be really satisfied with the extender.

The harness I have for my 15 Maltipoo that has small double attachment attachment loops. I use your product to attach one end to the leash and the other to the harness. It works perfectly.

The EzyDog leash extender seems to be made of a braided nylon material. I wanted to try it with my 62 pound dog, as she sometimes likes to play tug of war with the leash after a long walk and the retractable leash wasn't good for this. I've used other nylon cords successfully for this, but this particular product lasted about 3 minutes before the rather lightweight braids began to quickly shred and break. Since my dog is strong, having this extender become so easily damaged raises concern about the EzyDog extension breaking if my dog gave a strong pull (such as when she darts after a groundhog). So I am donating these EzyDog extenders to the local dog shelter for use with small dogs and will not be using them again. I'll go back to my original brand of more durable nylon extenders.

I have 4 large dogs lab, husky, shepherd and golden and this leash fits all our needs! It's strong enough to hold them and I take my dogs to the vet all at once so I use the ezy dog handle connected to extensions for each dog! Works great! I get so many compliments on my leash! I have rescued several dogs along the roads and the ability to make a choker out of the extensions is great because most dogs running loose don't have collars! I have the trainer ezy dog handle that is awesome to train your dog to heel! I haven't used it for that yet but I take my husky everywhere (separation anxiety) some people who are afraid of dogs I'll just take the extensions away and walk with him closer to me! I have even used this extension to put around a pole and multiple other extensions to have a long dog tie out! Or even for quick use on walks to tie him outside while I run into a store real quick! I even have used one of the extensions to keep my lab from jumping out of the bath tub while I bathe her! These leashes are very versatile! Best leash I've ever owned and I've had 4 to 6 dogs all my life!

Wanted a short lead to clip my pup into my truck bed in case she got the mad idea to jump out and chase a squirrel or some other bogus BS while going 55 down a country road. This allows her limited mobility in the truck bed without worrying about her injuring herself.

It is exactly how they stated it to be that is why I gave it 5 stars. it's a little long for the purposes that I purchased it for but it works well I use A Gentle Leader on one of my German Shepherds and sometimes she slips those off her head so I use the extender too attached to her regular dog collar and then attach the other end of it to her Gentle Leader right by where the leash attaches to The Gentle Leader so if she does slipper Gentle Leader off I don't have a loose dog. I wish it was a little bit shorter but all I did was tie a couple of knots and then I added my own little hook to the other end so I can easily hook it on and off because it only had a slipped look at the other end

My EZ dog bungee leash was a little short for my preference (about 4'). I thought about making my own extension, but this extension works perfect and has quality hardware on each end. Has a ring on one end and a clip on other. Used as a straight extension made my leash a little longer than I like, plus where my leash clipped onto the extension ring would sag due to weight of hardware. What I ended up doing is to loop the extension through my dog's collar and clip it back onto itself on the ring - and clip my leash to the ring. This made the extension just half its length which works perfect for me. Another benefit of doing it this way is if I need to keep my dog (80lb Dobie) close to me (in crowds or passing other dogs), I can just reach down and grab the extension which now forms a loop to hold on to.This extension is strong, well constructed, good quality hardware. For the money it is a perfect buy if you want to add 24" or 12" to your current leash length.

I liked the extension. It was well made , just not sturdy enough for my super chewer pup! She shredded it in no time!
