Wonderful! My final attempt at finding the perfect petticoat for my 1950s style Christmas dress. I didn't realize how overall petite size-wise I would be when it came to looking for vintage style petticoats (even at 5 7 1/2"and 110 pounds) till I started ordering size smalls and they were all too big, too puffy, and too long: till I finally found this prairie style xs. I was worried prairie style would mean flat – but it is actually is still quite puffy the on me-- not too puffy, just enough to look legit. I imagine a little puff will fall out as it is worn. The size and the material are sweet and dainty and soft and big enough for me --the waiste band does not stretch a lot though (at least not easily), so someone with a larger waist (I'm about 25" at the widest point near the bra line where I'd pull it high for a shorter dress) probably would not want to go with an xsmall, unless you really know how to tailor it and perhaps replace the elastic yourself.

"Beautiful petticoat, lovely and soft and well made. Had so much trouble trying to get one for my 8year old daughter (age 11-12 clothes). They don't appear to make children's slips anymore and needed one to wear under a skirt which was a bit on the see through side. This works wonderfully, really nice. Arrived a day later than expected but worth the wait."

I wear nothing but vintage and vintage reproduction dresses and, because I don't always want the potentially costumey look of a traditional stiff crinoline, I usually wear two cotton slips stacked on top of each other. This option gave my skirts fill but not quite enough. This petticoat is perfect for filling out a '50s style skirt without looking like I'm going for a costume look but still full enough to be period correct. The material is soft, too. Not scratchy like my crinoline. I absolutely love this petticoat! I plan to get a few more in other colours. Also, the waist is quite stretchy. All that was available when I ordered was an XS and since I really wanted it, I took a chance that it would stretch. I have a 33" waist and it fits fine. No strangulation feeling at all. I truly can't say enough wonderful things about this petticoat!

I really like the shape and fit of this petticoat. The poof is not overly large, so it can be worn casually, which I love. I took off a star because I found the lace on the hem to be itchy. I love the way it looks, but I wish a softer lace would have been used.
