**Q: Can you use a heat gun instead of the iron?**
A: I do not know. In the instructions, it says to use an iron. A heat gun is not in the instructions as a suggestion but may still work. Good luck if you try it out

**Q: Does this make fabric stiffer?**
A: It will change the texture of the fabric a little. But it will not be too stiff to stand the fabric. I used lightweight interfacing to make a medium-sized cosmetic bag and it was just right.

**Q: Can this be used to waterproof a store bought backpack?**
A: It'll make it water resistant but I'm unsure if it'll be waterproof. Hope that helps.

**Q: Can I use this over vinyl car seats then use a heat gun and then spray paint it with vinyl car seat paint?**
A: The product is intended for fabrics that are uncoated and would also not allow paint to adhere.
