I received this cookbook stand free to try and review; regardless this is my 100% honest opinion. This design is so simple and easy to use but works wonderfully for it's purpose. My favorite thing about this stand is the piece of clear acrylic that comes with it so that you can put it in front of the book or tablet to keep them from getting dirty.This comes as four pieces that are all made perfectly to work together and all pieces are smooth without anything to catch on. The design is simple, yet works really well and makes it easy to store when not in use. The four pieces are the two base feet, the backer board all three made with wood. The fourth piece is the clear acrylic that is the same cutout as the backer board. You take the two base feet and place the backer board at whatever distance you need for the size cookbook you are using. You then place your cookbook or tablet on the stand and use as is or for a bit more protection you can slide the clear acrylic in any of the slots in front of what you are trying to protect.We have used this multiple times since getting it for cooking in the kitchen and have found that it is really helping us to be more organized. Normally I don't want the tablet or cookbook to get dirty so I keep putting it aside in a safe place and have to wash and dry my hands, pick it up, find my place and then read what I need. This is helping me to prep recipes quicker as I'm not spending as much time flipping around since it holds the book open to the needed pages and keeps my book clean.
