This is an amazing and easy to use jewelry cleaner!! Use it on gold and silver! Everything sparkles! Gets in all the tiny spaces!! Behind diamonds, in the clasp! Just use the sponge and the product, a little warm water! Way better than any paste or cloth cleaners I’ve used in the past!!

When I was a teen, polishing silver was my parents' go-to punishment for me...."You were out too late without calling - get the Hagarty and your grandmother's tea service!" Yesterday, I was staring at that same tea service with its layers of tarnish because I can't stand to polish. I got a slight repreive because I was out of my old product and after reading these great reviews, decided to try Goddards. Just like everyone said, it is fantastic! While polishing silver will never be a night of dancing with Hugh Jackman, the dreaded job went by MUCH more quickly and easily - and with miraculous results. The sponge that comes with it not only applies the product really well, but is remarkably sturdy. It doesn't look like it will disintigrate after a couple of uses. And it just took a pass or two for the really bad tarnish to go away rather than the non-stop elbow grease I had always been used to. It is really satisfying to find a product that not only does what it says, but exceeds my expectations. It is almost just as well mom didn't have this stuff around when I was a teen or I'd have gotten in a lot more trouble!

Cleaning silver is a pain, but the reward is that it is silver and looks great. My process is to remove any excess tarnish first by using baking soda in a sink with boiling hot water; then i wrap the silver in aluminum foil and put it in the sink for about 15 to 20 minutes. I then remove the silver from the foil and use the Goddard's Silver Form to clean and polish the silver. Finally, I go over the silver with a polishing cloth to buff it to a shine. This is really a process, and it is a pain, but it produces a great result.

Smells awful, but works like a charm. Just moisten the white sponge with hot water , rub it in the paste, work up a foam. Use the foam and sponge to clean you silver item. Then rinse with warm / hot water. Repeat if necessary. NOTE : use with some kind of latex gloves as you may be allergic to either the cleaner or the black tarnish that comes off. NOTE 2 : friend of mine who i let Borrow the paste said he worked up a foam and left it for a while on the silver bracelet and it cleaned even better. I have not done this, but he said he had bad tarnish.

On a recent jaunt through Home Depot, Goddard's silver foam was sold out while other silver polishes sat there, unwanted. That's because Goddard's works on even the dingiest silver, and mine hadn’t been polished for years. Ya, you need to put a bit of effort into the process, but it won’t ruin your silver like the liquids. Kinda fun to have pretty silver on my wooden tables.

Works great! If you have finely etched silver, you’ll probably want a liquid polish too and definitely a soft brush.

As someone who had in the past only cleaned silver with silver cleaner that must be shaken, put on a cloth, rubbed in AND THEN wiped off with another cloth, I LOVED THIS! I found it quicker especially because there's MUCH LESS MESS (I did my silver polishing by the sink) FANTASTIC
