These were way too strong for my tanning bed, but I’ll find another use for them.

I changed these in about 20 minutes, the pair that came with the trailer barely lifted the cardboard mattress that came with the trailer. I have a great mattress and struggled to lift the bed, but after I installed these I could lift the mattress with one finger! Great Value, and ease of operation! Thank you!

I got these to support a basement trap door. They work, but it took a lot of trial and error on where to mount them. The instructions are not very clear and the calculation-measurements did not work as described. The actual positioning of the mounting brackets is also not clear on the instructions.

Returned - not strong enough - ended up using 45# strut

I'd like to be able to write a good review for these struts, but unfortunately they don't work as advertised. These struts are rated for 67lbs a piece which should hold up a pretty heavy mattress, but do not. My mattress with a topper doesn't weigh any where near what these struts should hold up. I'm guessing 2 together should hold up over 100 pounds. So if you have an RV and your bed struts are wore out, don't buy these struts. They didn't work for me and they won't work for you.

I bought a 180lb set of these gas springs. They work, but the problem is the brackets bend as you operate the springs. When I open the lid I attached them to it springs right up, but when I go to close the lid, it bends the mounting brackets where the ball screw bolts onto the bracket. It bends it really badly and then the lid starts to close. It seems the brackets are not rated for the same force as the gas springs. It wouldn’t be a huge deal if I could easily find a heavy duty set of mounting brackets, but after a 1/2 hour of online searching I came up with nothing, at least nothing simple. I’m going to have to fabricate some brackets out of 1/8 or 3/16 inch steel.

So far they are functioning as expected.
