Amazing Protein
The media could not be loaded. I love this protein - definitely my new favorite. I have used both chocolate and vanilla for baking and for simple protein shakes. I also have mixed it directly into my coffee in the morning for a quick and easy “wake up” shake. I have used MANY proteins in my life and am very familiar with isolates, blends, casein, etc. The Controlled Labs protein combines the best of all the requirements — nutrition, taste, mixability, texture & aftertaste - I give it a 10/10. I hope they come out with even more flavors!Ideas:-chocolate and peanut butter-vanilla and berries-coffee & any flavor-shake it up on the go with water or almond or regular milk!

Delicious taste mixes easily
I’m very picky with my proteins and this flavor was delicious mixed with whatever I chose to add to it. Whether it was water or milk or different fruits it was always just as tasty.

Too sweet
My only complaint is that both flavors are too damn sweet. They mix great and everything. They just have too much stevia.

Visions of Hot Fudge....
...dancing in my head.Alas; I did not find a Chocolate Ice Cream Sundae here. The taste was pleasant, mild and if you gave me a blind taste test I would say it tasted like a bit of chocolate and a bit of coconut. As I said, not very strong flavor. Here's what I did:10 ounces of sugar removed whole milk poured into a blender. One full scoop of this on top of that (it's a pretty big scoop).Blend.Tasted good; nothing bitter or no icky end taste on the palate, which I do get from some protein powders, just, for me, didn't live up to the title "chocolate ice cream sundae".I ended up adding a scoop (different scoop) of cocoa powder and a packet of sugar free sweetener, gave it another whirl and enjoyed a more prominent chocolate flavor.I was in between meals, hungry and had to run an errand, so took this with. When I got back home I did my combo cardio/strength/stretch workout. This did a nice job of keeping me going.I'd like this to be closer to other protein powders in the amount of carbs; this has 4 and if you do net, subtract the 2 grams of fiber, so, 2 net grams. This is a blend of whey protein concentrate and isolate. For me, I would tend to be looking for ALL islolate for this price point, but that's your call. The company lawyers went a little crazy on the warning label; I've NEVER seen that many warnings on a protein powder; mouse over the top picture on the product page; zoom in on the image of the bottle on the left and you'll see what I mean.Makes me want to put this as a last choice of my many protein powders.Still, I commend and appreciate that the nutrition facts as well as this label are clearly portrayed on the product page.I hope this review has enabled you to make an informed purchase decision.4 stars, no sundae!

Good Protein Supplement. Decent chocolate, with nice creamy aspect.
Usually I'm wary when a company does not show the back label, avoiding disclosure of the Supplement/Nutritional Facts. In this case, there's no reason for worry. Per 35.8g serving, it has a very acceptable 130 calories. That serving supplies 24g protein, with only 4g total carbohydrates (of that, only 2g total sugars!), 2g total fats (and only 1g saturated fat, 5mg cholesterol). These numbers are pretty good for a chocolate flavored protein powder. But, in order for this to be a desirable protein mix, it needs to go beyond just these nutritional aspects. It has to taste at least decent.I'm happy to report that the chocolate flavor is decent. And, if you follow directions, it can be reasonably 'creamy'. The directions state to use one scoop in 5 - 10 ounces of cold water or milk, using less liquid will make it creamier. So, I added a scoop to a bit over 6 ounces of cold almond cashew milk. It mixed well, and indeed created a 'creamy' beverage. I shared it with the significant other, and she liked the taste and consistency. I'm planning to make a hot version later, to take off a bit of the winter chill. The product label doesn't show any certification badges. Thankfully, it does have text: "Made In A USA GMP Facility With Domestic & Imported Ingredients". This mention of GMP, Good Manufacturing Practices, does check off my concern for quality control/assurance. It indicates adherence to standards to safeguard the integrity of the ingredients and processing.Overall, I'm very happy with the nutritional/protein aspects and the flavoring, taste. Thus, it earns a 4.25 - 4.5 star rating, with a high level recommendation.
