Great Value for Money
Fantastic product. Lightweight, effective, long lasting battery, and a great price. I have absolutely no complaints.

Great toothbrush - well made and easy to use
Well constructed and simple to use. The toothbrush comes with a charging dock that uses a USB2 interface making it simple to plug into a phone charger or other such power adapter. More expensive models offer a pressure sensor to alert you if you’re overbrushing but unless you’re overzealous I’m not sure this is necessary. The brush itself comes with a timer function that divides the brushing duration into four intervals so you can divide brushing into upper and lower, left and right quadrants of your mouth and move between each. The brush is nicely weighed and balanced making it easy to hold and there’s no noticeable vibration when using it. The results are great. My teeth and gums feel clean and fresh, far more than using a standard toothbrush and the results are noticeable. Within a few days of using 3 times a day my mouth felt better and cleaner everywhere, especially in the surfaces and curves where the teeth meet. If you haven’t tried a toothbrush like this I’d highly recommend it for its price, simplicity of use and its cost. While there are other more expensive brushes with more bells and whistles this one really has everything you need to get great results. If your dentist had talked to you about overbrushing then you might want to look at brushes that have additional functionality that help prevent that but otherwise this brush has everything you need for great results. Highly recommended.

Great, except the longevity of the battery!
does the job - but had 2 of these previously - the battery tends to die not long after they are out of warranty - well OK doesnt die, but you end up charging it after every brush almost - they just dont keep charge anymore. Would be 5 starts other for longevity of the battery.

Adequate but not outstanding
I’m giving it five stars because it’s perfectly adequate for the job of cleaning teeth. However (and admittedly on first use only, so it might not be fully charged) it’s not as powerful and doesn’t leave your mouth feeling as clean as my old Fairywill toothbrush, which I dropped multiple times on our tiled bathroom floor during five years of ownership before it finally gave up the ghost. Sadly Amazon don’t appear to sell the Fairywill anymore and this Sonicare looked like an ideal alternative. Time will tell whether that judgement was correct. Edit: having used this Sonicare toothbrush for a couple of weeks I can confirm that it’s far superior to my previous brand. Really gets into the gum line and leaves my mouth feeling super clean. For best performance it does need regular charging, but that’s no hassle.

Powerful toothbrush that lasts for years.
I have just replaced the same model after 3 years of continuous service. My dentist noticed the difference at the first appointment after changing from O-B to this, it is a much more thorough clean and my teeth are whiter for it. The toothbrush is easy to use with only on/off controls, and is substantial without being too large or small. The charge lasts a month with 2 cycles a day and it beeps every 30 seconds during the 2 minute cycle, turning off at the end. Towards the end of its life, the charge in the last brush still lasted over 2 weeks, with no loss of performance. I replaced it because the rubber on the on/off button wore through and it simply stopped working. I ordered that evening and the brush arrived the next day. The brush heads are quite expensive to replace with genuine heads, but after buying my first pack of 4 'compatible' heads, 2 failed to vibrate, none had the pressure sensor and the wear indicators didn't wear off at all! The brush head that comes with the unit is a bit too soft for my lking, but others may get on well with it. There is plenty of choice when t comes to replacements. Finally, the charging stand works by USB-A (big one) and I plug it into my laptop to charge. It beeps to tell you it is charging and there is a light indicator that tells you it is fully charged (around 24 hours from empty). All in, it is a powerful toothbrush that should last you for years and is recyclable at your local recycling centre.

Avoid - Disappointing product
After a few months the product developed a fault. Loss of power and then would randomly switch itself on and would not switch off. Returned the item but complete lack of communication with regards the status of the return / repair. Overall disappointing would not recommend.

Last Philips I ever buy, RIP brand
The three stars is because it works. As a Philips product it's a one star item, but Philips aren't what they used to be. If you buy this toothbrush at anything more than 1/2 rrp you're a fool. I purchased this toothbrush on sale in 2021 to replace a much beloved Philips Sonicare HX6731/02 which had served me well. I choose this model because I don't want or need all the bells and whistles (quite literally with some models) and wanted as few peripherals as possible as I already have those from previous models. I just wanted a good, basic, sonicare toothbrush. This one wasn't it, RIP. It's sleek. It weighs much less than the older models which tbf can be a good thing. However, the charge is poor compared to previous models. It takes an eon to charge too whether you use the usb or a/c charger. It only comes with a USB charger. It is compatible with older chargers or you can buy a new plug-in charger directly from Philips, but they'll scold you for the amount of electronic waste you create by buying one, blithely ignoring that perhaps you didn't want a usb one, or even didn't need a new charger at all. Btw, the handbook won't tell you any of this. I had to email Philips and work hard to get past the chat bot. Ah, the handbook.... It's ridiculously thick, but all that "tree-murdering" paper only warns you in every language possible to consult a doctor if you have a pacemaker. Alarmed? As far as I can tell it's no more deadly than previous models. YOU WILL NEED TO GO ON LINE IN ORDER TO STUDY HOW TO USE THE DAMN THING. You see, the designers were too clever by half because this toothbrush isn't quite as basic as it seems. In fact, it has loads of settings all controlled by ONE DAMNED BUTTON, which you can only decode by going to the model's webpage. (Really, that thick booklet you'll receive won't even mention this.) Lots of "Hold for exactly 2 seconds, pause, then double press, then listening for series of beeps, then press twice, but not too fast nor too slow," and then a similar, yet slightly different sequence to adjust another setting and no way to be quite sure that you're in the right submenu because it's all controlled by ONE DAMNED BUTTON and no interface. You can use it straight from the box but the default mode is best described as "super-nag," and I don't need that first thing in the a.m. Anyway, this is now an ex-toothbrush, gone to the great electronic scrap heap. It was my fourth Philips sonicare. The previous one of blessed memory lasted seven years of loyal service, this one 18 months. I've been a huge fan of sonicare, they agree with me much better than the oral-b type brush, having switched at my dentist's behest. You can see why I'm so disappointed. Well, if this is the new standard then it's been lapped by generic brands, so farewell Philips.
