The ingredients are Rice, tapioca starch, salt, palm oil, sugar, contains 2% or less of artificial beef flavour (salt, sugar, flavoring, caramelized sugar syrup, corn starch, celery), monosodium glutamate, dried spring onion, spices, celery powder, disodium 5’-ribonucleotides, natural smoke charcoal flavor (coconut oil, flavoring), caramel color, artificial cilantro flavour (corn starch, flavoring). Contains: coconut. According the ingredient listing on the package, it does contain msg. Hope this helps.

Does it come with protein? Like dehydrated chicken or beef?

No just spices and dehydrated veggies. I usually add some chicken - canned or fresh.

are these gluten free?

This is not an officially labeled gluten free product, the noodles are not made with gluten, and the artificial additives like the little "vegetable packet" are also unlikely to be made with gluten. As you probably know, true gluten free products are made under strict conditions before they can be labeled gluten free. This product has no reason to contain gluten, but if it does, it is probably a tiny amount. Many gluten free people can handle trace amounts of gluten, so if you are one of those people, you should be okay.
