Reishi Mushroom Extract Powder 10:1 by Wild Foods | Fruiting Bodies, Vegan, Paleo, All-Natural Adaptogenic Immune Function, Sleep Aid, Nootropic (8 Ounce)

I can't prove one way or the other, but this reishi powder is suspiciously non-bitter. Normally, this would sound like a good thing. But the medicinal components in reishi are bitter: reishi that isn't bitter isn't potent. It is also a different color than other reishi powders I have had. The information given by the manufacturer says "all the right things" (dual extraction, fruiting body, no mycelium, log-grown), but I can't help but wonder. Medicinal mushrooms are so often falsely advertised or faked.I do love other products by Wild Foods, and I love their philosophy, so hopefully I can get some clarification on this.

I take reishi mushroom to reduce stress and anxiety and it works! I take a full teaspoon before bed in a cup of hot water and honey. It relaxes me and I sleep great. I used to wake up during the night and couldn’t go back to bed because my mind would race but I no longer have this problem. I was also extremely tense throughout my days but I noticed I am handling stressful situations a lot better and I’m much calmer. My husbands and kids even notice I’m nicer and calmer! So, this is def a Win, win!!!

A friend told me about Reish powder that it was great for my lung condition as it increases respiration. I decided to try it and looked through the choices on Amazon and found WildShroom. I really love it. I immediately felt the difference in my breathing and my exertion. I have loads of energy and I absolutely love the taste. I add it to my smoothies and shakes and it gives a creamy almost chocolate consistency, very tasty. I choose Wild because of the great reviews. I’m happy I tried it and will continue to use it.

I really like this company’s products. I’ve used other mushroom mixes and these are more effective, perfect potency, and extremely well priced. I don’t care that the mushrooms are grown in China because the growing standards are ethical and follow USDA regulations. I also really appreciate that only fruiting bodies are used and they are not grown on grain.

I mix it up with honey into a paste and consume with warm tea. Has hugely helped in clearing up congestion in the lungs.

I give this product 3 stars but it's actually very hard to rate due to the fact that my system can't handle it. I suggest before you buy a big bag of Wild Shroom that you purchase a sample size to see if your system can handle it. I did a lot research and reading on the use of this product and I felt assured it would be beneficial to use as long as I followed the instructions and advise I read on many reviews and product information online pamphlets. What I wasn't counting on was the gastro distress brought after using for one month at the amount of a 1/4 to 1/2 tsp per day (I decided to introduce the product slowly to my system) and I did follow all dietary advise. I had to stop using the product and once I did within a few days the problem disappeared. I then investigated stomach distress associated with the mushroom powder and I did find it but it doesn't seem too prevalent. But believe me you don't WANT THE STOMACH DISTRESS!!! I know it was this product because it was the ONLY new ;product I introduced into my system so I know this was the cause of the stomach upset. Learn from my mistake and save yourself some money. Start with a sample size and go from there. I normally do NOT suffer from any kind of stomach upset and I generally can handle foods, medicines, etc., so this was a bit of a surprise. On a positive note the customer service by Wild Foods is EXCELLENT. I have purchased other products from them and all has been well.

Seems effective, and it dissolves well in coffee without making coffee more bitter. And there are no grounds left in my coffee from the reishi after I take my last swallow. I like that.

I trust this company. I have tried several of their products and they are of good strength and at a good price. I will continue to buy from them.
