Even when the history is fine, I didn't love how this movie was made, specially the first half that is a little bit cringey. I didn't like the characterization either. Besides war movies make me sad.

Excellent plot, acting, and message on how to live life.

Loved the movie. It depicts beautifully, the spirit and the soul of an Indian and the sacrifice and selflessness that an army personnel brings about.. plot is good and acting is decent.. as is the music..

I loved this story line. Loved Mr. Roshan as this character...a real Dai uy.

Really great movie. Hrithik Roshan is my favorite India actor. Movie was very interesting and really good. Love the dancing and singing also. He is such a great dancer. Movie played very well and the transaction went great and speedy service.

This movie is an anachronism, released way ahead of its time. The character transformations are amazing. Immersing watch!

I am not sure exactly how I came across Lakshya, but I decided to order it on DVD soon after returning to the UK from a holiday in India. Having seen it, I was hooked. I define a favourite film to be one that I want to see more than once. One that I want to look at several times (like Laksya) definitely qualifies. This film has made it into my DVD collection, and I won't be giving it away!It was the story that interested me, not the usual Bollywood elements like song-and-dance routines (though I enjoyed some of the music, particularly the instrumental music at the beginning, the title song when the hero faces up to his commitment, and one sung by the soldiers as they venture on their main undertaking). Amitabh Bacchhan gives a fine performance, and his character as a Maharashtrian colonel (Sunil Damle) appealed to me. His speech at the beginning, instilling regimental values into a new officer is great stuff, likewise a shorter scene later when the mission is halfway over.Not just enjoyable entertainment (which it is), but also inspirational. Highly recommended.

Kurz zum Inhalt:Karan (Hrithik Roshan) weiß nicht so recht was er mit seinem Leben anfangen soll, so geht er zum Militär. Zuerst haut er wieder ab, da ihm die Ausbildung nicht gefällt. Als ihn aber daraufhin seine Freundin verlässt, geht er zurück, beisst sich durch die Ausbildung und kommt schließlich an die Front.Ich bin kein Fan von Kriegsfilmen, dachte aber durch Hrithik Roshan wird er mir schon gefallen. Das war ein Irrtum. Der Charakter des jungen Karan, bevor er zum Militär geht, ist etwas übertrieben. Und der erste Song des Filmes ist einfach nur furchtbar.Kein spektakulärer Kriegsfilm, den auch die Starbesetzung nicht rausreissen kann.Jemand der Hrithik Fan ist und Kriegsfilme mag, kann dem Film vielleicht mehr abgewinnen. Ich bin ein Fan von Hrithik Roshan, aber das reichte nicht um den Film gut werden zu lassen. Aber er hat wenigstens deutsche Untertitel.
