Ieder jaar rond deze tijd komen die uit de oude buisjes tevoorschijn. Nu is het zo dat de nieuwe generatie bijen toch het liefst in nieuwe buisjes hun eitjes leggen in plaats van de reeds gebruikte. Werk al jaren met steeds nieuwe bamboe buisjes waar ze zonder probleem in gaan. Dit jaar bij wijze van proef de helft bamboe en de andere helft van deze kartonnen buisjes gebruikt om te kijken welke ze liever hebben. Maakt voor de bijen dus geen verschil, zie foto's.
