Perfect for me, max bass is crazy
I just got these headphones today and am loving them! They are definitely for people who love bass which is the main reason i got them. Hey anybody who knows skullcandy knows when they started they were bass heavy. Ive always had there wired earbuds but i tested the wired crushers and the hesh and they were good but nothing like these. The bass is like being in a car with a hard hitting system no joke its awesome but i cant imagine anyone who would listen to these with the bass all the way up it wouldnt be good for your hearing. I can stand max volume on these but not volume and bass there's no need. I just went through a set of sony bt850 extra bass and while id say the max volume is close maybe even a tiny bit louder on the sonys, the overall experience goes to the crushers with that bass not to mention the sonys will break at the hinges in time unless maybe your super gentle with them and not use them everyday but me, i need something more reliable and pivoting plastic hinges are bound to break (sony).. plus if you read reviews on the sonys they break on alot of people and i havnt read one for skullcandy breaking. I hope not becuz i do lawn maintenance and i need something a little more sturdy and i think these will serve the purpose for a while. These are a nice fit on my head, kinda tight but that means they'll stay put better. I did notice discomfort after wearing for a couple hours but not as much as the sonys plus the sonys didnt stay put so good during workouts or quick movement. Another thing about these thats great is the battery. 40hrs? Omg thats great cuz i hate charging! You get a verbal notification when bettery is low about 10mins i would guess before i ran out and i can say listening to these maxed out i got a good 20 or 25hrs on one charge over 3 days. Button placement is nice and easy. Design and looks are nice and sleek. Nothing cheap(quality) about these at a price of 140 the only reason i didnt buy them last year is because they were more expensive and 80bucks for the refurb sonys were more in my budget. By the way i got 8mo out of the sonys. These i got a replacement plan because accidents happen! Update day 4 with headphones... So first i want to add a couple things i didnt mention because when i 1st used them i was so hyped up from listening to that bass.. ok so these are 140$$ headphones and while i don't expect them to be studio quality at this price nor have active noise cancellation. Anyway to retouch on the issue of the max volume.. yea these crushers deffinetly are not as loud as i thought they would be. Im just guessing here but to paint a picture lets say the crushers put out 100db of loudness compared with the lg tone 1st gen i think 830's or my sony xb850bt would put out 130db of loudness. Now i know those arnt the actual rating but im just setting a example and alot if people probly wont use them at max levels but i do because the majority of my listening time is at work with lawnmowers and such so i can deffinetly tell the lack of volume but i will say if im not using heavy equipment then there's no need for max volume they are plenty load at 75% Another thing is people talking about memory foam ear pads. ???? Where? Not on my crushers. Id say quality foam but not memory foam. Memory foam is very dense even when warm or hot theres no mistaking it even if its cheap memory foam still very dense but itll feel more like foam to where quality memory foam feels more like a sponge that takes a while to decompress. But thats ok im fine with it just wanted to add my opinion because i read alot of reviews people saying memory foam. Still very comfy anyway. So thats just the cons that i have. Overall i wouldnt change my mind on buying these because they just hit so hard and sound great. Its not muddled with to much bass, you can hear every word perfectly its just the bass can be enhanced more then mids and highs which i love. Build design feels solid.. so thats my update! Ill keep u guys informed if something else happens or i forgot something

... Crusher Wireless and I must say this is the best iteration of Skullcandy Over the Ear Headphones yet
I went from Aviators to Hesh 2 wired to the Crusher Wireless and I must say this is the best iteration of Skullcandy Over the Ear Headphones yet. Sound: Who knew music could sound this good? Wait I didn't. Growing up I didn't know what was the big deal with Bass. I would listen to songs that had a lot of Bass and didn't hear a difference. I didn't know it was the equipment I was using. I thought, "Bass. Isn't that the thing where you install an Amp in your Car and the speakers vibrate." I figured it all out when using my Hesh 2's and heard a song on someone's Instagram post that made my headphones bump. My epiphany was that was Bass. That's when I decided I should check out the Crusher Wireless and totally neglected to take the time to take a quick stop to my nearest retail store to test them. Just went up and purchased them online. This really is Bass that you can feel. Build Quality: So far my Hesh 2s have endured the test of time. My Aviators I had to toss out due to synthetic material it was using on the ear piece wearing out and falling apart. I really hope these Crushers endure. The Crusher Wireless feel great out of the box like a premium piece of equipment that you would use to do a lot of music therapy. We all know music therapy is key to a happy life. Back to sound: You could seriously look like a fool, jumping on the bus, putting these on and just start dancing away. That's how great these headphones sound and with the Haptic feedback you really feel you are at a rock concert. Playing movies: If you ever wanted to be isolated from the world just so you can enjoy a movie and experience comfort of soft headphones, these are it. Also, that haptic feedback I was talking about? Watch Thor: Ragnarok and just jump ahead to when Thor and Hulk fight in the arena. You will feel like you are either right next to Thor getting smashed by Hulk or at least feel like you are back in the movie theatre watching the movie for the first time. Even Hulk's roars cause the headphones to vibrate. You will experience every hit, punch and ground shaking slam. Overall: These are a great pair of headphones. The type of headphones where I would say, "Don't wait to buy these until you need a new pair. Buy them now." You won't regret it.

Absolute perfection and standard for wireless headphones!
I would like to preface this by saying I don't write many reviews... I know I should, but this one deserved it. I have gone through my fair share of headphones. When it came to "in-ear" headphones, I couldn't find anything that compared with Skullcandy Ink'd and have gone through many pairs of those (mostly had to buy new ones because of my own stupidity). Back in high school and a little after that time I would always use Koss UR/20's since they were reasonably priced and sounded great. My current job has me listening to my headphones 8 hours a day, so I wanted a good pair of quality over-the-ear headphones. I looked at tons of different brands: Beats, Sony, Koss, Bose, etc. I had some criteria these headphones needed to meet: - Comfortable wearing for long periods of time. - Bluetooth with decent battery life. - Able to plug in wired in case I needed to (battery dies, better quality, whatever it might be). - Adjustable (I have a big head). - Durable. - Excellent range between highs, mids, and lows. - Foldable, or easily transportable. I can say without a doubt the SkullCandy Crusher's nailed all of them! I have had them for a week now and listened to them well over 40 hours and I am in absolute love with them! Not to mention I haven't charged the battery yet, yes that's right, I have listened to these bad boys for over 40 hours on a single charge! Now let me talk about the sound quality, I have never owned a pair of headphones with this much depth, especially when it comes to bass. The fact that I can adjust the bass by using a slider on the headphones is phenomenal! Whether I am listening to gaming music, trap, dubstep, rap, country, classical, rock, or even watching a movie, these things let me feel so immersed in what I am listening to, that most of the time I forget about those around me. I have heard others compare the bass to being something like a sub in the trunk of your car, that is honestly the best comparison I could come up with.. Maybe the bass you experience in a high quality movie theatre, but damn close either way. You would think the mids and highs would get drowned out with that much bass, well you would be right, but it's barely noticeable. I play all music right between 1/4 - 1/2 bass and I really don't need any more.. If you want to feel your head vibrate, crank these things up and you will get an ear massage... literally, your ears will tingle if you do. Beats have nothing on these in my opinion, and cost half as much. If I had two heads, I would buy two pairs of these. I left these overnight at work, and yearned to have them on my head again. I have an 8 hour plane trip next week, and I can't wait to have these things with me the whole time. If you are looking for a quality set of headphones that won't fail on being amazing in every aspect, you need not look any further. Buy these bad boys and you won't want to listen to

The build quality isn't the best, my favorite headset tho
Whenever I got these almost 2 years ago, I was lucky enough to catch a deal at 150 dollars down from the original 199. Fast forward to now, I was curious to see what black friday deals were going for these. 99 dollars is a steal just for the sound quality and battery life alone. I'm going on 2 years of fairly heavy use (I have these on all the time in my house except sleeping) and I often use them as a hairband doing stuff around the house if we're being honest. The range is exceptional. I had very low expectations whenever it came to the range, but after investing in one of the higher grade usb dongles (only 12 bucks or so) I can get signal through 3-4 walls 40 feet away consistently. Other bluetooth devices I had issues going through a single wall and resyncing properly. That being said, while these look rugged they will develop hairline cracks around the housing that holds the cans even if you baby them. It's fully plastic from the cans to the steel band in the headband. While I was first irritated with the build quality, I began to learn just how to combat this common issue and currently feel much better with everything from the fit to the durability of them since. You will learn very quickly upon learning of an issue with a skullcandy product that the warranty has a lot of loopholes............so anything other than a complete technical failure of a feature is not covered whatsoever. Moreso, I believe there's even shipping that a customer would have to pay for pending a replacement or fix of an above mentioned technical failure. I tried superglue, I wasn't concerned with the cosmetic look, it didn't work. I tried using sparingly amounts of jbweld (5 dollars for 2x1oz tubes of steel reinforced epoxy) that would work temporarily until eventually I had a complete separation as seen in many of those pictures on this page. That's when I just unapologetically gooped the jbweld all over the joint. It worked so well that a week later I intentional broke the other side (that I was having to baby for fear of breakage) just to goop it up with jbweld. Going for a rough break I was able to completely fuse all of those problem parts that tend to break, and I wish I would have done it sooner. It took time and a lot of nerves to get through, but it was well worth it. I ended up completely caking the joint and letting it cure carefully (because it's pretty rigid after using it) two different times on each side to ensure it was able to fully cure and have enough support to keep the joint straight. It's been 6 months or so since I "fixed" them and I'm not worried in the least about them breaking again. Another issue that could be unique to my headphones but I wanted to mention is the haptic bass switch. I've seen other reports of the switch being loose feeling and finicky. I've had the same issue from early on with my pair. I believe it's fairly common and remedied with patience, but I try my best to keep the switch from fully engaged or fully disengaged as there seems to be some disconnect of the wires if you're not careful. Also, it's worth mentioning to use the enhancements and "bass boost" in options if you feel like you can't find a good balance of haptic bass using the switch. Personally I have it set to boost 80hz and below by 3 db, and that lets the switch cover all the bases (puns). I'm glad I have these crushers rather than the hesh 2 bluetooth design for sound quality and comfort, but if you wanted to have something to use in the gym and toss in a bag or to keep in your car without worrying about breaking them, I would definitely go with the hesh 2 variety. The bluetooth hadn't come out yet whenever I got my hesh 2s but I've had them for 4 years and they're still a functional semi-comfortable wired headphones with decent sound. If you're on the go I wouldn't want to have the crushers on anyways because they do block so much ambient sound. In closing, if I felt like my current pair wouldn't stand the test of time I'd buy 2 at this price today just for the love of the sound quality, ear comfort, passive noise canceling, and powerful-and-versatile haptic bass. If you're a fan of chillstep, futurebass, or trance music these are a godsend. Other than the general build quality the only other thing I could see skullcandy on doing to improve these headphones is selling an accessory that turned the headset into a pillow you could sleep in, they're that comfortable. Instead of some "insurance plan" that you'll never qualify for or want to mess with, I'd instead buy some jbweld that matches the finish you buy and remember to check for cracks before they get out of hand or hard to manage everytime you plug in to charge them. The battery lasts for a LONG time so that's only like once every 2-4 weeks.

Awesome Cans!!!!!
The Skull Candy Crusher Wireless is a great set of cans for multiple uses. Let me say, first, we have bought 3 pairs of these in less than a year. First pair was for our 15 yo son, second pair was for my husband, and the third pair I finally bought for myself (early Xmas gift). The fact we have 3 pairs of these should say it all! All 3 pairs we bought are in black. Too many reviews had the white pair breaking, so with this last purchase, I felt there were not enough reviews with enough time on them for the new colors to make me feel confident they, too, would not break in the same spot as the white ones. So, black it was. One can never go wrong with black in headphones! The first pair was bought in early May, for a 15 yo who is not always super careful with his stuff. They've been dropped, and used every single day by him and are still working perfectly, still charge just as fast and the battery still lasts forever. They have held up to his clumsiness and look as if we bought them yesterday, though they've been dropped and dinged here and there. My husband got his the 3rd week in May and he uses his constantly. He works from home and is on the phone a LOT. Conference calls, broadcasts (radio/YouTube for interviews), and phone calls/video calls with friends both here in the States and globally. As for my husband's use - they DO work with Skype on a cell - we have Note 9s, and they DO work with Skype via the computer (for reference, he has an Asus Rog). He had to go into Skype and tell it to recognize these particular cans. They didn't work at first, but he did finally get them to. They work on all of our other call apps, WhatsApp, Wire, Signal, VSee Etc. They work with our regular phone calls beautifully too. They also connect to our Bluetooth unit we have hooked into our TV. They both connect even though we have the same headphones. We had some trouble getting 2 identical headphones connecting at first. One would automatically pick up, then we had to activate pairing mode on the headphones then press our bluetooth button on the tv unit and then it found them. Took a day to figure it out, but we did it lol! They work AWESOME with that! If you turn the bass all the way up or 3/4 of the way up, I swear, it seriously feels like you are sitting in a movie theater. The sound quality is awesome for watching tv. Often, one of us will fall asleep and to avoid waking the other, tv gets muted and headphones go on. Now, we use them even when we are both awake because they make for a great experience with the upgraded sound for the tv! Our son just keeps them connected to his phone or he uses the auxiliary cord and plugs them into his switch when he plays it. Sure beats ear buds. Plus, our son says earbuds are super uncomfortable for him and refuses to use them, so that's why we initially bought these for him. The battery life is CRAZY GOOD! This is one of the reasons we went with these 3 times. They charge up from fully drained fairly quick (a few hours) and the battery lasts FOREVER. This battery, by far, is the best out there. Nothing else to say - battery life is AMAZING. Side note - they sound even better when you go in to your cell and tweak the audio settings to your liking. On our Notes, we both had to download a good EQ/audio app and we tweaked from there. He did the same thing on his laptop, and again, amazing sound. Hes a bit of an audiophile, and while no - these aren't the top cans for an audiophile, but he is very impressed with the sound (music/tv) for the price. He actually loves these and prefers these cans for calls, watching TV, and listening to music over his top dollar Sony Noise Cancelling headphones and over his even higher priced Sennheisers. He got these because he needed a good pair with a good mic and sound for calls (as people were complaining over hearing him with the Sonys), and true cans for audiophiles, well, you can't really use them for phone calls lol. He has an expensive pair of Sennheiser cans, and once tweaked, honestly, these sounded better to me than the $400 ones. But - my ears are super sensitive to treble and it hurts my ears. So the highs not being very pronounced with these is perfect for me. The mids are definitely recognizable and neither of us have any issue with sound nor do we miss anything. When watching tv you pick up on all of the little background things you never notice. With music, you can actually hear the singer take the smallest of breaths where you couldn't before. Again, ours are tweaked for our phones and computers, BUT they are NOT tweaked for our tv, it's impossible there and we still catch every little thing. So far, the hinges are holding up. Before we purchased these for our son, we actually went to Best Buy and looked at all of the models and different brands. Skull Candy, overall, were the best for the money and comfort out of all their in-store models. When we compared these to the Venues, we went with these because they feel far more substantial than the Venues. These are heavier and feel/seem to be made sturdier than the Venues. It seems to me the only differences in the two models are - ear pieces twist out on the Venue not on the Crusher, Venue has noise cancelling and Crushers do not, Crusher has the added bass adjustment & Venues don't, and finally, the Crusher seems far strudier/a bit heavier/better made than the Venues and are cheaper than the Venues. I dont think these would be ideal for jogging or running...but I dont run anymore unless it's for my life - so, I dont run. Lol. If you put them on and tap the outside of the can, you can hear it "reverberating". And I've seen other reviews about hearing that while running due to the jolt of the "bouncing" of the body while jogging. That would irritate me. They are a little heavy, but you get used to that quickly and they are super comfy so the weight never was a bother to to me nor my husband or son. We all wear glasses/contacts. They do not hurt my ears where my earpieces are. The cups are super cushy and they only get softer/better over time. Keep in mind, these are NOT noise cancelling. But, my husband often listens to loud music 2 feet away from me and I can't say I can readily identify what he's listening to unless I got closer, so again, it's not a noticeable issue for me. When our toddler comes and crawls into bed with us, if we are watching tv, we have them on pretty loud, and it doesn't bother her a bit, even when she's got her head on my arm. Noises bother her if she's trying to go to sleep. She would, very loudly, have said something by now if she heard any sound from the headphones, or heard it loud enough. She has not. I have paid 3 different prices for these each time I purchased them. 120 for our son, 108 for hubs, and I picked them up on Cyber Monday for 79.99. Even at 120, I would buy them again and would've happily paid it for the 2nd and 3rd pairs. They are holding up really well, have great sound, and fold up for smaller storage. They come with a nice little bag that holds them, but if you want any kind of real protection so you can throw them in a bag and go, I would invest in a hard shell case for them. The bag won't protect them other than keeping them put away when not in use at home. The charge cord is good and seems to be good quality and the aux cord it comes with is really nice! The part under the jack is like a box and causes less stress on the jack and plug so it wont short out as easy. I really love the design of the auxillary cord. If you aren't too terribly rough on headphones and plan on using these for a range of things - like calls, music, & hooking into the tv - these are DEFINITELY the cans for you! They are WELL worth their price, whatever that may be. I would just invest in a hard shell case and take care of them. Most of the breakage issues I saw in reviews were with the white ones. Other colors, in my opinion, dont have enough reviews with enough time in use to be confident that they wont do the same thing the white ones seems to do. We have had zero issues with our 3 sets in black, with one son who isnt always as careful as he should be with the more expensive stuff he wants lol, and they've held up to him perfectly. These are definitely worth your hard earned money! Skull Candy did good with these!!! I would give them my money again if I needed a 4th pair for any reason. Just go on and buy them!!!!

A True Review to Quality Headphones
I am usually one to write either a really good review or a really bad review for anything if it is EARNED either way. These headphones have EARNED my VERY GOOD review! First off, as most people will say, they are an excellent investment for the price. Overall, the look, quality of build, sound, battery, comfort, etc all met or far exceeded my expectations. The battery is probably the best feature. I got mine delivered at the end of April 2018 and JUST NOW (September 1, 2018) needed to charge them. AMAZING! Granted, I only use them when I am doing something art related or playing video games but that can be an average of about an hour or two every night. So the battery is 5 stars without question. The comfort level of the ear pads are 5 stars as well. They are not too bulky and feel super soft and retain their original shape after taking them off. I have had BEATS in the past as well and I am not really one for Apple products as a whole. Definitely one-up on BEATS on-ear models. I would wear my beats and my ears would hurt after 30 minutes. Not a problem here. The construction is very nice. I love the weight and the matte finish. The reviews that you read about these headphones being cheaply made are of no concern. I think you'll find that most people who are always complaining that things are cheaply made or always breaking on them are the types of people who don't know how to take basic care of nice things. Just sayin'. If you don't want them to break or snap or short out when they get wet, then don't give them to your 2-year-old to play with, don't wear them in the rain, and basically don't handle them like an newborn ape! Or at least explain why they broke rather than say "THAY CRACKED AN THAY SUK!" The sound quality is great. These are a nice compromise to BEATS and definitely win over them in a lot of aspects. I will say thought that I can understand how people say the BASS switch makes them seem like the loud cars that pass your house late at night with their stereos rumbling the windows of every house on the block! These guys really rumble. BUT...I will say this. I listen to many different types of music (metal, rap, jazz, NOT country, etc.) They really affect different types of music different ways, WHICH IS COOL. "The power is YOURS" -Captain Planet. I was expecting to listen to Metallica's album "...And Justice For All" and hear a clear bass that has been missing. That was not the case. I was a little disappointed there. But when I listened to Mastodon's album Leviathan, specifically the song "Blood and Thunder" it really helped bring some beautiful color to the drums. LOVED IT. If you are not a metal fan, listen to something you like. Mess with the volume and the bass. You'll find that doesn't really do anything for classical music but the drums, or beats, on something drum or beat driven can really be manipulated alot better. That is definitely something that BEATS DO NOT HAVE! Plus, if you like gaming (ie. Battlefield, COD, etc) the gunshots and sounds or war really sound real! I hope you have learned alot and enjoyed my guided tour of the Skullcandy Crusher Headphones from a standard consumer's viewpoint. All in all, return them if you think I'm wrong. Do you, dude! but you won't be disappointed if you have heeded my words! Go for it! Buy 'em! Do it! DO IT NOW!

Extremely Good Sound - Especially With An EQ
First and foremost; I do electronics reviews for numerous different sellers here on amazon, but this is not one of them. I simply love these headphones and occasionally actually decide to chose them over my $350 Sony WH-1000XM3 flagships. These headphones have the very unique feature on the left ear cup where you can control the bass output of any sound. This feature is very cool but it is NOT why I decided to buy these head phones and try them out. The primary reason I decided to give these headphones a shot was for 3 reasons: 1.) I wanted a wireless pair of headphones that could handle bass without distorting or having the drivers physically "click" against the ear cup itself. This has been the case with a lot of high end headphones I have reviewed and, as a bass head, it is very disappointing to say the least. I wanted a head phone that was designed around the idea of a tremendous amount of bass so that I could rely on them not having this issue. 2.) I did not care about the true sound quality of the mids and highs (although they are semi-important and cannot be completely lacking). Referring to point 1, I use a god-like equalizer on my mac book which can make the dollar store impulse earbuds sound better than some of the 20-30 dollar earbuds I have reviewed. I cannot recommend this equalizer enough if you are on mac... it has literally changed how I perceive the fundamentals of sound and audio forever. Basically, you can control any frequency from lows to highs with very custom detail and get sound EXACTLY how you enjoy; then save it as a preset and use it whenever you're on mac! 3.) Price was the final factor. I simply didn't want to spend over 200 on this pair of cans seeing as they are all plastic. The build construction is pretty good though! Final Words: Pros: -Bass variability and capabilities -Battery Life -Comfortable -Dependable Bluetooth connectivity -Sound is nearly perfect with a subjective 9/10 with my equalizer. The deep bass on these cans simply cannot be reproduced on any other pair of headphones for this price Cons: -Little ugly for commuters (headband and wires are a little odd) -Ears get warm after a couple hours -Any bass setting over 1/3 of the slider is purely for fun and does not sound good at all... it just takes over the sound -Construction is all plastic leaving it prone to scratches and breaking -Not too much noise cancellation (No ANC) but there is passive noise isolation that is alright -Big ears might be cramped in the little ear cups. OVERALL: 5/5 DUE TO THE CAPABILITIES THESE HAVE WITH AN EQUALIZER. IT WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO REVISIT YOUR ENTIRE SONG LIBRARY.
