Easy to install. Functions perfectly. Nice fabric. NOTE - this Roman shade looks best when installed inside the window casing. I installed it above the casing and it leaves the mounting hardware exposed. I will have to come up with a way to address that issue in my case, but it’s a good option especially if you plan to install it within the window casing. See photos for details.

First, let me start by saying that am in no way benefiting from this review.. it’s just my honest opinion of a great product I stumbled upon during hours of searching for quality roman shades that were reasonably priced.I recently ordered 3 of these shades but I have a total of 13 chicology magnetic Roman shades in our home and I can’t say enough great things about them! I will say that I prefer them to be inside mount since the top is bare wood and could potentially be noticeable if you hang them on a window that can be seen from above (for instance, if you have 2 story ceilings and can see the top of the shade from upstairs). But the one I have in our kitchen is an outside mount and looks great since you can’t see the top at all. I have hung all 13 shades by myself and it was very simple! These particular shades provide some privacy and minimally filter light, but I knew that based on their description and that’s what I wanted for the room they’re in. If you’re looking for a shade that blocks light and provides complete privacy, I highly recommend the chicology thermal Roman magnetic shades, which I have on 10 other windows in our home! If you’re on the fence about purchasing these, DO IT! You won’t be disappointed!

These are SUPER chintzy. I mean like, I wouldn't want them in my basement! I just got my kitchen redone and needed a shade/valance to block the evening sunlight while I'm cooking. I like the magnetic concept of these and they were super easy to install, but man do they look CHEAP. There is a plastic strip that holds the fabric to the top bar and there are visible metal staples holding it on. It just looks really awful. I would have totally bought these for my whole house if they had looked a little more classy. I'll leave them up for now, until I find something else, but I am going to have to either cover or paint that top strip.Moral: don't buy these if you care AT ALL about aesthetics.

For the price, we're really happy with them. Initially we thought these were magnetic in the sense that you could magnetically attach them to, say, our French doors. We were about to return them when the wife had an idea of just getting some magnets and attaching them with those.So, here are some pictures of my DIY project. First, of course, I made sure a fridge magnet would stick to the French door. We ended up using the 4-pack DIYmagnets. Neodymium. Holds 70lbs each. These blinds are pretty chintzy and probably won't hold up over time, but they are miles more useful and better looking than my 10 year old mini blinds that are falling apart.These didn't fit my windows well, and I was looking for some solution to leave a top portion of my window uncovered. I didn't end up using the mounting hardware at all. I used Command Velcro strips to attach it directly to the lower pane of my window. It works great and it looks like less gap since the frame on the lower pane is a bit smaller anyway.Pros:- very simple styling and clean design, they blend in well- simple construction, no moving parts to break, lightweight- no strings! The magnets are a great feature- the fabric lets a good amount of diffuse light through while providing privacyCons:- no way to clean the fabric besides spot cleaning. I'm not confident these will look clean for long.- if your windows are an in between size, there will be large gaps on either side and the brackets may not even reach.- they are intended to be folded up from the bottom, so the fabric layers unevenly.

Unfortunately not what I expected. As others have said, you only have a couple of choices as to where hanging level is. One too high, the other too low. The valance was mounted on the wrong side per the installation diagram. The staples also show at the top. Very Disappointed. My fault for not reading more reviews.

I got these in white and worried they’d be too sheer since they’re light filtering but they are perfect and exactly what I wanted. The picture I took is at night and I went outside and had my kids stand in front of the window and dance around and I couldn’t see them at all. I saw a little bit of movement but I couldn’t see any detail. I thought I’d be able to at least see their silhouette but I couldn’t make out any body parts. They were also very easy to install, even more so than I expected. I love that they’re magnetic and no cords.

Bought for my window above kitchen sink. Works great and blocks most of light out, but does still allow small through without compromising your privacy. The reason I only gave 4 stars is the top of the shade you can see the staples they used to attach the fabric. The rest of the blind looks great and the magnetic function works great. However I did have to purchase a valance in order to hide the top. An additional expense I did not anticipate when I purchase this

Good for the price paid

A few reviewers have mentioned the magnets don't work well. I haven't found that. If the blind is all the way up, obviously there is more weight the magnets are trying to hold, so it's a bit more "fragile" but I also found there is a way to orient the magnets to have the strongest hold, so just experiment a bit and you're fine. (I keep the blinds half-open and have zero problem with the magnets failing.) Simple instructions to install - very easy, even for non-handy people. The brackets are only fully hidden if you mount them inside the frame, but if you can live with seeing a bit of silver at the end of the top of the blind, not the end of the world.

Roman shades are typically so expensive, usually have to be custom made-to measure, but these were super affordable and somehow fit my bedroom window perfectly. Magnets were super strongand always held.

I am very satisfied with this product and in fact I am looking to see if I can purchase more of different sizes.I did spend a few minutes figuring out the installation, because the videos shown on their website did not have the same brackets my set arrived with... But all in all, it was installed rather easily (measure twice, drill once!).The magnets work very well, all seams are straight.

Super easy to Install. Has a nice handle on the bottom to lift without hands on fabric. Picture was taken with full sunlight coming in from back yard. Very very pleased
