Works well, no leaks!
I mounted this tank inside my vehicle, so I was worried about leaks. However, I was careful when installing the hose nipple into the tank sidewall, and I have not had any issues with leaks from the nipple or the screw on cap. I took my SUV on a 11 day, 3000 mile road trip, and had no issues. I took the vehicle on a second 4 day, 2000 mile trip a month later and also had no issues. Really happy with this tank. I placed a white paper towel below my fuel line so I could watch for even the smallest evidence of a fuel leak, none ever appeared.

It spills easily
If you’re buying this to store diesel or any type of fuel inside your vehicle, beware that it will spill from the cap. The seals are not tight enough which will lead to spilling. I ended up replacing with a small 1 gallon fuel tank from Home Depot. Safe yourself the trouble and buy something else.

Perfect as a small fuel tank
I am using this as a small gas tank while working on restoring an old truck that has been sitting unused for years. I don’t want to pull fuel from the old tank which is I’m sure full of stuff it is probably best not to suck into the carb. This think allows me to plumb directly into the fuel pump and run clean fuel anytime I need to run the truck. It is small enough to sit on the inner fender under the hood but large enough to run the truck for a good while if needed.

Good overall build but thinner than most other brands.
Comes with a screw type outlet fitting that must be installed correctly to prevent leaks. I first drilled a hole in the tank in a location that worked for the application, then use a hose over the fitting to thread it into the new hole so that you can pull the fitting in place. I then slipped the o-ring and nut over the hose and tightened everything up. Test with water to ensure no leakage and the tank is ready to go.

Good for Vanagon!
Put this behind the drivers side tail light of your vanagon for diesel heater..perfect fit! Also, opt for a copper fuel pipe..I used them together and this solved all my trouble shooting issues with my diesel heater. I also wrapped this tank with exhaust foil tape to deflect heat. Works great! Fast shipping. No complaints.
