Wonderful, fragrant vanilla beans!
I received 29 lovely, fragrant, and pliable vanilla beans, very nicely vacuum sealed. I split 9 of them to replenish my ongoing "fifth" bottle of vanilla that has been in existence for about 6 years. I sealed the remaining 20 for later use. First time buying this brand, and quite happy with the quality, aroma, and value of my beans. I sent the same package to my daughter, to keep her batch going, as well. Some might think it's controversial, but I use spiced rum to make my vanilla. It gives it a little head start, for the same cost as vodka or white rum, and we love the results! (Sam's Club Member's Mark Spiced Rum is what I use. Very good flavor, very reasonable cost! )

I like them
The bean were skinny and a bit short, but more than the noted 26 beans were included. Weightwise, it was a generous amount of beans. They had a fair amount of oils which even coated my fingers during splitting. Very aromatic. I could easily smell them through the package which implies use quickly and perhaps seal inside another heat-sealing bag for longer storage.

Great for making your own vanilla extract
Tired of paying exorbitant prices for pure vanilla extract? Then make your own instead. It will take about six months, but the wait will be worth it. These are very fresh and flavorful beans. Split about 3-5 beans open and put in an 8-oz bottle of vodka and shake for a few seconds once every week or two. Doesn't require the most expensive liquor, and I bought a case of "swing-top" bottles here on Amazon.com (9 @ $2 ea) and a 1.75 liter bottle of Sam's Club ($13) vodka to make 4 bottles of extract. After two months, I've got very nice extract on the way. (I also bought Madagascar beans to see the difference between the two, and made some with a 50-50 mix of beans.) You could simply add about 12-15 beans to the entire 1.75 liter bottle of vodka for the same result . . . but at half the cost for the same volume of store-bought vanilla extract, and no telling what kind of beans were used.

Vanilla Beans
I was very pleased with the quality of the beans. They were plump and oily.

Vanilla for vanilla extract
Fresh vanilla! Sealed well and smells fantastic. I have used this to make vanilla extract and hopefully soon make vanilla paste.

Good product if you are making your own vanilla.
I make my own vanilla extract. I fill a mason jar with beans and fill it with Rum and another jar I fill with cheap vodka. Takes a minimum of 6 months but it's better than store bought extract and you can replenish the alcohol from time to time.

Dark, moist, and rich with flavor
Wonderful product. I used some to make vanilla and the aroma was heavenly!! The beans were dark, moist, and rich with flavor. I'll be ordering more to make Christmas presents... just don't tell anyone!!

I am impressed with the quality
I am so pleased. I am a novice at 79 years to Vanilla beans. The only Vanilla I have used all these years is extract. And that is the reason I have discovered the beans. I needed Vanilla extract and got sticker shock. Why pay 25 dollars for 8 oz., when I can have the beans and a bottle of cheap vodka and in a year have some fabulous extract. Now to this package. They have been very generous. I received 32 beans not 26. yes they were all only 4" but the extra made up for the lack of length. Some of the beans were a higher quality that the Grade B they said in the ad. I used the beans to fill two 12 ounce bottles. Will this make fabulous Vanilla? I won't know for a year, but each week I will give them a shake and a smile. Yes, I will purchase this item again. Do I recommend this product, you bet...but what do I know I am a novice. If you know an experience extract maker ask them

Good, But Smaller Than Expected
They have a beautiful aroma, are nice and soft, and they appear to be fresh. But they’re quite small. I guess that’s one of the differences between Grade A and Grade B beans. I bought these to make vanilla extract. Most recipes called for 6-8 beans or one oz of vanilla beans per one cup of alcohol. I didn’t realize that grade B beans are smaller. These 25 grade B beans weighed in at just 2 oz. It took 12-13 beans to weigh one oz. So I had just enough beans to make 16 oz of extract, not the 24 oz I was hoping for. These are still very good beans. It’s just important not to be distracted by the number of beans in the pkg. It’s the weight that matters.

As described
These were great, exactly as advertised. I soaked them to make vanilla extract, and they worked perfectly for that.

Nice quality vanilla beans
Most of these beans were smaller in diameter than I expected. However, the listing and package both state there are 26 beans in the package. There were actually 43 in the package I received, so I guess that makes up for the smaller than expected size. They were all in the correct length range as stated in the listing. The beans had a good moisture content and a good strong aroma. I used these to make batches of vanilla extract. I would definitely buy them again.

Decent beans
I was pretty annoyed when I opened my Amazon box and saw how incredibly short and thin these beans are. However I opened the package and counted the beans and between my two packs of 26 beans there were 75 beans. So they did account for the size by adding more beans. My two packs came up just shy of 4 oz so I was able to use the 750ml bottle of vodka I had for these beans. With the displacement it was just enough. I do wish they sold these by weight rather than count. They were fragrant and still has a good amount of oil and moisture. Would buy again.

Nice beans!
I bought I believe 5 packs of these to make homemade vanilla. They are nice vanilla beans. I split down the middle and throw 5-8 per cup of vodka. It’s been a few weeks since I started it and it’s quite dark already. I’ll be able to use the vanilla in about a year
