Works well for my application...
Installed yesterday, so not sure about longevity... but it worked and corrected the problem on my 2015 JKU Jeep. I used this for the temperature blender door (found on the driver's side kind of behind the radio console area). Tough to get to, but I followed some youtube videos and AI advice, and it took me about an hour-and-a half to complete. You will need a 1/4 drive and some extensions, an 8mm and 10mm sockets and a stubby phillips head screwdriver for this particular actuator (there are three in my Jeep, and this may have been the easy one.

AC part
This product was as described and did the job it was intended to do. It was compatible with our 2014 Jeep Wrangler

So far, so good! Have heat again.
My 17 JKUR suddenly had cold AC only. I figured it was this, and it was. The install of the part is not terrible, as long as you can get the air duct out of the way. Mine was a bit tough to break loose, but once out made things much easier. I also removed the one metal support bar under the steering wheel closest to the duct and also the little fan that's the air cabin temp sensor. I have large hands and this allowed me to more easily work through the hole available. It also let me more easily get my extensions and socket in to remove the bolts holding the mounting plate you have to remove. Before you button everything up test the unit and make sure the arm is clocked correctly, giving you the entire range of temps. Without the duct in the way you can easily see the arm moving and make sure it goes across the range. I had to move the arm a notch over to get it correct. My buddy didn't do this and now only has hot hot or cold cold, no in-between. Another note, I have a little electric screwdriver and it made the project so much easier at the actuator. You don't have much room so not having to turn a screwdriver was a huge plus.

Price.
Replaced broken OEM piece. At a price, I can afford.

Thank goodness for Dorman. I can actually afford to fix my car.
I appreciate that Dorman makes products for cars. They're usually a lot more affordable than the ones branded by the car manufacturers (in this case Chrysler). Given that the original failed after only a couple of years, Chrysler is apparently not above using cheap, plastic gears in their products. I would expect this Dorman to last at least as long, and hopefully longer. In any case, it's less than $20 bucks, and I was able to install it myself. There were no surprises, and it fit as the original did. 9 month update: My wife says that it's making that clicking sound again. It's intermittent at this point. I'll have to pull it out and take a look and see if the plastic gears have broken. It would be difficult to say bad things about Dorman though. It's Chrysler's bad design. Edit: I removed the Dorman actuator and popped it open. I don't see any broken gears, so I'll add a star back for now. Another Edit: I've been using the 2nd one for about 6 months and I'm starting to hear odd noises from behind the glovebox. I'm worried that it's going to fail again. These things seem to have a lifespan of about 8 months, give or take. I'm wondering if whatever is controlling this thing doesn't realize that the door is already shut and keeps trying to force it more shut, and then eventually the actuator breaks.

PITA to install but works!
The recirc motor in my kids 2016 jeep patriot was making all sorts of banging noises. Holy cr@p though this was a pain to replace! I'm very mechanical and have been working on vehicles for 25 years and this kind of stuff boggles my mind why an engineer would place them where they do. You will have to remove the glove box which is easy. Then remove the cover above the foot well, held in with 2 pop pins. You can reach in and unplug the motor from there easily. But then it will be a struggle with a right angle ratchet screwdriver to get the 2 silver screws out holding this in place. The lower one isn't bad but the top screw is done by feel, completely blind. And you'll have to be lying down across the drivers seat with your head down on the floor contorted and cursing to get to it. They are plain Phillips screws, not even the ones with an 7mm head on them for a socket, which would have made it much easier to remove without the tool slipping off. Make sure the one you remove is aligned properly, it should be in the recirc position when the vehicle is off. There is an alignment tool in the box you can put on a ratchet to move the door, but it's easier to just grab the white plastic end of the damper door by hand and move it if needed. Install is reverse of removal with slightly less cursing. No programming required, start the car and let it move through the recirc and fresh air positions, no more noise. It's worth noting there is a mode actuator and a temp actuator, both are this same part. One located on the drivers side of the center console by the pedals and one on the passenger side in same general area.

Fits but fails calibration
Bought to replace failing blend door actuator on 2015 Wrangler. There were no issues with fitment but once installed and using an OBD II scan tool to run calibration tests, it continually fails. To be sure I even swapped out a different actuator since I had the dash apart and the failure followed this actuator. As far as I can tell the actuator still works but every time I start the vehicle the HVAC system runs its own test (and fails) for 8-10 seconds because it hasn't passed calibration via scan tool. I decided to take this actuator out and return it in favor of an OEM replacement part despite them being more expensive.

Producto recomendable.

Works well
Bought this for a 2014 Dodge Journey. Easy to install with the right tools. Did the following to "calibrate" the actuator manually : 1) Connect the actuator to the power connector, and just let it hang loosely. Turn on the car. 2) Turn the heat all the way up on the climate control. This will trigger the actuator to go to "hot". 3) Manually figure out how the blend door arm needs to be do deliver hot air. 4) The climate control, the actuator and the air door are now set to "hot". Install the actuator to its place and tighten the 2 screws. 5) Play with the heat and verify the air is hotter or cooler. Turn the heat all the way down and verify the air is cool.
