Not So Small

I absolutely love this book. I read it to my twin girls and they LOVE it. It has a beautiful message about using your voice and making an impact in your community. Something that I want my girls to learn and embody. I love everything about this book.

"Not So Small" is a picture book that empowers children to use their talents and voices to make a difference in the world. "Big things get noticed," the book begins. "Tall buildings. Loud voices. Wide walls." How could a small person ever be known? This story reminds readers of the ripples that can come from one action. From writing letters to walking in your community, actions of conviction can bring you closer to others who share you passion, until together your voices "form a chorus." "Not So Small" demonstrate that actions taken for changes, no matter how small they might seem, can lead to big things.

I recently read this to my children, and we all enjoyed it. I love the simplicity of the empowering message-- your voice matters. The illustrations are vibrant and beautiful. The story is short but it packs a punch. I appreciate the thoughtful, positive, and kind message of this book.
