Star Trek: Enterprise: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]

Fast shipping, Blu-Ray appears to be good quality.
When this series first aired it was before DVR was commonplace and I had attempted to tape it via VHS VCR. For reasons I don’t recall, I was able to watch only about the first two, maybe three, episodes. Now I can watch it from start to finish with no commercial interruptions. This Blu-Ray series arrived very quickly and appears to be very good quality. I’ve played only season one, episode one, so far as a test and I’ve found no issues at all. I don’t consider myself a huge Star Trek person but this is a Star Trek series I’ve always wanted to view. Maybe because I was unsuccessful at taping it when it first aired.

Like having the hardcopy
Enterprise was a lot better than it is given credit for, especially season 4.

Holds it own
It holds up in the Star Trek world. Good concepts. Unfortunately like all Treks, some shows are solid/memorable, others not so. Some things stand time others do not. It definitely held its own place in tge franchise. Decent special features.

Minus 1 star for the case
UPDATE 10/12/2024: I'm glad I've been binge watching these because I just came across a bad disc. Season 4 episode 1 has a problem reading it. It's not just my BD player, because I popped it into my PC and I can't copy one .m2ts file (read error). The rest of the files read fine. At just the right angle under a bright light I can see what looks like scratches that are circular / concentric with the disc, but it looks like they may be below the surface, as if it's a manufacturing defect. Hopefully Amazon will exchange the set since I'm within the return window, but it's open, so I wonder. Honestly, since I know the first 18 discs are fine, I'd rather just get a replacement for the 1 bad disc...Hmm. Maybe I better try to get through this season within the return window to see if any others in season 4 are bad. This review is for the Blu-ray version. The picture and audio quality are excellent, and though I haven't had a chance to play all 24 discs yet, so far all discs I've played have been flawless. But then there is the case: On one hand, they did a great job of packing 24 discs into a small space, with an attractive cover which all looks great on a shelf, but on the other hand, actually getting the discs out to play them and maintaining order is ridiculous. Not only are 2 disks stacked directly on top of one another on each "spindle" in the case, but those 2 discs overlap with another 2 discs on another spindle, so you have to take out extra 1 disc to get to the 2nd, 2 extra discs to get to the 3rd, and 3 extra discs to get to the 4th. The case is NOT user friendly, and that's kind of incentivizing me to rip them all to my PC to stream from there, but 24 blu-ray discs would require quite a bit of HDD space (over 1 TB), not to mention all the time to do it, so I guess I'll just live with the unfriendly case. Who knows - I may not ever want to watch the series more than once or twice anyway. I've never see it before (just random episodes here and there that looked good).

Great show
This is set 100 years before the age of Kirk. Sadly the plug was pilled at least a year too soon. It never had a chance to really succeed. I like it a lot more than "Voyager."

2021 DVD Re-release. One Case!
I just received this product and I was pleasantly surprised that all the discs were in one case. I was expecting seasons 1-3 in an Epik Pak and then season 4 separate based on all the pics I've found online. Amazon also has the 2017 original Epik Pak but it was substantially more expensive. Buying this 2021 set was the best value, even compared to buying the seasons individually. While it's great to have all the discs in one case It kind of stinks that about 3 discs are always sitting on top of each other. So navigating through to each disc will be a little difficult, especially since all the discs are gray and only differentiated by stating which season and disc from that season the discs are. The gray and the shiny text does make it a little hard to read. But the value was the best part of all. You can't beat it if you want or collect the DVDs like I do.OH! Another detail to note is that the discs are secured inside the case, the pieces holding the discs are not removable, at least I haven't tried because I don't want to break it but they aren't loose and can't just fall out when the case is opened. To accommodate all the discs and case is a little deeper than a standard DVD case (meaning when looking at the front of the set) but the case is the same height so if you have OCD it won't stand out like a sore thumb on your shelf.I have all the other Star Trek DVDs (except for TAS) as single seasons but wasn't about to pay $20 a season for a show that ended 17 years ago.EDIT: Since 2 or 3 discs are always stacked on top of each other which makes it difficult to get to some of them I found a cheap travel case. I put the discs in that while I'm watching them. Once I'm done with the show I'll put all the discs back in the case and voila! Just a little tip that might help others.

APPEARS TO BE IN PERFECT CONDITION.
After thinking about buying the Star Trek Enterprise series for the past 10 years.I originally thought about buying the 4 individual season sets, but determined that the complete series set was really the way to go. At $47 the complete season set of Star Trek Enterprise is a much better deal.I like the fact that this set comes complete in a tough, sturdy plastic box instead of a flimsy paperboard box.I also checked did an inventory on all 27 discs, and they're all there. And, they are also in perfect condition as well. This makes 3 complete Star Trek tv series now including Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise.
