Technicolor Treasure Hunt: Learn to count with nature

This is a beautiful book. On each page, children and parents count out items from nature from 1-10. For example, on the orange page there is one tiger, five carrots, etc. My 22 month old loves using the tabs to turn the page. There are so many concepts that can be introduced in this book -- words, nature, color. The vocabulary is a bit more sophisticated than your average board book (chili peppers, coral, daffodils). My toddler likes to just point out some of our favorite things with me while my four year old likes to count out the various objects. The illustrations are gorgeous. This is an interactive text and it's fun to look for things together on each page. This book will capture a child's interest for a much longer time than your average board book. I would recommend this for ages 18 months through 4.

Excellent book for teaching words and colors. The book even includes the pink dolphins from the Amazon. Has the words for items written at the bottom of the page and you have to find each. All the items are the same color on each page and has a matching tab to find the page you desire. Most color books are just for babies, but this is more engaging for toddlers or even young kids. Extremely happy with the book and cannot wait to buy more from the authors. Teaches counting, colors, words, and logic. We use it as part of our literacy and art curricula.

My 21 month old knows most of her colors and is learning to count to 10. This book is a favorite in our house and is great for both color recognition as well as continued practice counting. She loves choosing from the tabbed pages and picking out which color we start with. This book is visually stunning and captivating for adults and kids alike! I'll definitely be adding it to my first birthday party gift list!

Love looking at this with my 21 month old. The pictures are beautiful, and there is a nice mix of very familiar items with some new ones. I even learned the names of several flowers! Fun way to practice both colors and counting. My only complaint would be that there are a some items that are not usually that color (pink dolphins?).

Beautiful artwork and the tabs are very intriguing for my LO. However I was expecting it to be a little more fun to read. It mostly just a counting book.

Love this book! Great for color identification and counting up to ten. The book has items organized by color. My three year old granddaughter and I had fun ID'ing the items in the book. Great gift idea!
