I cant figure out how to find the size I need. What is the size 10 mean on the nut sizer part? I need to find a tap for a size 10 hole. Thanks

Howdy Michael. The 10 corresponds to a number 10 machine screw. According to the Standard US Machine Screw Sizes, a number 10 comes in two thread sizes: a 10-32 and a 10-24. The 32 and 24 refer to the number of threads per inch. So, if you've used the gauge and determined you have a #10 screw, you'll then need to decide if you need the "fine" thread, 32 or the "coarse" thread, 24. Your local hardware store could help you determine which you need and what tap size you'll need.

Is it both SAE and Metric?

Yes it is both metric and SAE. On the backside it also has United States Thread Pitch and Metric Thread Pitch. Both Inch and mm bolt length are on longer sides. Bolt dia. goes from 3 to 22 metric and 1" to 1/4" SAE. The shoulder posts for nuts is more limited but has both metric and SAE.
