This cover worked out great. Good quality, opens and closes nicely, looks great and the plastic parts that cover the extra hole for a wire holds tight... very nice.

Worked great to cover my outdoor plugs. Was simple to install and I like that I can put a lock on the cover. Worked so well I purchased a second one for the back of the home outdoor plugs.

These are great! The back of my home faces West so my outlet covers take a lot of sun. They get destroyed pretty quickly but these are holding up really well. I also like that I can leave my pellet smoker plugged in since the bottom has a small slot for the chord to come out while still providing excellent weather protection. These are definitely worth the money and I’ve order more for the front of my house since they are super convenient when using them.

Serves the purpose. Easy to install. Would be nice if it were made a little stronger. Seems like it would break pretty easy. Probably have to replace it more than I would like.

I used the Leviton 5981-UCL While-in-Use Cover to replace the original 50 year old outdoor outlet covers on my house. The original covers were water resistant only while not in use. Inside the covers, I installed Leviton GFWT1-W Self-Test SmartlockPro Slim GFCI Weather-Resistant and Tamper-Resistant Receptacles with LED Indicator.The cover does its job of providing weather protection while a cord is plugged into the receptacle. Small plastic slugs are used to seal off the underside of the cord pass-through while no cord is in the receptacle. To fully utilize the while-in-Use feature, the plastic slug needs to be removed from the cover. My only concern would be misplacing the small slug once I remove it. It would have been nice if the cover had a built-in storage slot to hold these slugs when they are removed and cords are plugged into the receptacle. I will have to remember to tape the plug to the inside of the cover. This is not a deal-breaker.This is the best while-in-use cover that I found in order to bring my outdoor plugs up to current NEC standards. I like the see-through cover better than the opaque covers because anyone who needs to use the outlet can immediately see where it is without having to guess. This also discourages people from flipping the cover open to see what is in there. The less tampering and fooling around, the better. The cover came with a high quality gasket that sealed the back side against the exterior wall. Caulk should be applied as necessary but I did not find this necessary. The cover is attractive and provides excellent protection and weather resistance.

I needed a cover for my outdoor receptacle which I could use the outlet and not worry about any overspray of water when using my pressure washer. This little guy is just what I was looking for. Very easy to install. It has a secure latch that is easy to open and close. Durability plastic.

It’s pretty standard. The seals are tight and it doe accommodate the plugs and wires. It is a tight fit though with the cord having to bend 90 degrees to exit the bottom.

Good fit on a ca.1998 outdoor electrical box.Since screw holes lined up, it took all of 3 minutes to swap with the old cover. The enclosed box will allow me to use AC-adapters with this outlet, without them being exposed to rainfall. It feels sturdy and latches tightly.It wasn't necessary, but I used the snap-in non-GFCI plate for a cleaner look. It screwed down tight to the ca.1998 vinyl siding. If this was a high-exposure area, I would also caulk the edge of the new cover as recommended, but it's snug enough that I don't feel it's necessary.Only concerns: Clear plastic may age/scratch outdoors and turn yellowish. And this cover doesn't have multiple sizes -- it's probably an inch "taller" (from the wall) than the maximum I actually needed.Overall, very pleased with the design. Recommended.

Warehouse purchase (had been opened and someone tried to use it) - was easy to install and provides a good seal against the weather. Needed for an outdoor outlet that will have something plugged in for extended periods in the winter. Very sturdy and with ample room for the plug with the cover closed.

Very Good quality - happy with the purchase but.... It was just a little too small for the purpose I needed it for by about 1-2 cm.Could not fault quality of the product, just my measuring skills.

I replaced my old rinky dinky one with this and it works like a champ. plenty of space for the cord to come down and water tight
