I do like and I am now glad that Brother scan n cut is coming up to date with other die cutting machine manufactures. I did a test out on card stock and only made one pass but it did a very good job. I think with several passes over the paper and I used the 1.5mm tool that it would make a deeper impression. I like both sides of the test embossing. I can see this done on leather I think it would emboss beautifully. If you want the embossing tool and decide to buy here on desertcart. You are getting it for a reduced price which I think it is awesome. I know these accessories can get expensive for the Brother Scan n Cut die cutting machines. I have a cm350 machine and this kit works well with it. I've only done line embossing so far -- haven't been brave enough to try region embossing yet b/c that involves cutting out a template first and I didn't want to waste the one piece of template material that came with the kit. I dislike the fact that you have to continually replenish the template material for each project you region emboss, even though each template can be used numerous times. I recommend watching several you tube videos before you begin, but it really is quite easy to use this embossing kit. You're not limited to the 50 embossing designs that are activated once you buy the product -- any pattern you can cut or draw on your machine can be embossed instead using the embossing tool and the draw function.
