overall happy with the product, exactly the mortar size I needed for single cup masala chai spice crushing. only reason it's 4 star is that the pestle is entirely too tiny if you actually need any kind of force. while it works well enough for softer spices, I had to grab a pestle with a full length handle that I could wrap my hand around to get proper leverage for the force I needed to apply in order to crush long pepper and other hard spices.

I love this product and use it to crush my animals medications. Absolutely beautiful. Will definitely buy another.

Nice addition to my collection, it can be used to crush or grind pills or dried herbs. I have small hands so handling it is very comfortable, but I imagine larger hands would have a problem.

I was in the market for a 'plain ol' mortar and pestle, to grind incense resin. I bought this one. Not only is it really functional, but it is just beautiful. Real marble, solid, all shiny and new LOL This is one of the things I've ordered in a year that I love the mostest.

I love that the pestle has a flat end so that you can further smash whatever you're grind up if you need to. This is a great little set.

I've been using this to grind up pastels to use as pigments, and haven't had any problems with it in that regard. However, some of the inner (and outer) surfaces have some rough sections that might be from the machining process or were just part of the stone it was made out of. It's not a problem for me, but if you're looking to prepare anything edible it might be a little difficult to clean out properly.

Are use this to crush up my fish food for my fry works great but it was smaller than I expected but works for what I need it. It’s also great quality and comes with a certificate.

I needed something to crush my pills and didn’t want a regular sized set. This is perfect for grinding meds, it has the right weight and is very easy to wash. There’s a slight texture at the bottom of the mortar so the tablets won’t be sliding around as you crush them. Highly recommended.
