Gives a Sporty feel, not for fixing DW.
used on my 97 Jeep XJ with a freshened up stock suspension.1st off, NO, this will not cure your death wobble. The purpose of the stabilizer is to create some steering resistance to take the slop out of the steering 'feedback', not out of the system components. So, I replaced a good, but older factory shock/stabilizer w/ this unit & I honestly felt little to no difference 'by hand' when compressing/pulling the piston.- However, real world driving feedback was immediately noticed! It's basically like turning on Sport-mode in a car, where as the steering feedback is better. a little more resistance, just slightly heavier & sportier feeling. If anything it definitely inspires a bit more confidence in the road handling manors. (and we all know Jeeps could use some of that)Install was easy, directions not so great but it's only 2 bolts. If you cant figure it out, you shouldn't be wrenching. I re-used the factory bolt/nut on the Right side as it was shouldered & also has a thicker diameter thread/shank.The sticker comes in the box(not on the shock). Mine was folded in 1/2 & a bit tattered. I probably wasnt going to put it on the stabilizer itself (you cant see it, I'm not lifted) so I just threw it on my toolbox instead. No complaining about a sticker, just sayin'.Shock is made in Mexico & was quickly manufacturer-drop-shipped by a US retailer.(thats how it works folks).I'd say it's a nice factory replacement for dirt cheap with easy install & provides better steering feedback than a factory unit.

2002 Jeep tj 35s
I was getting a lot of bump steer and a small shimmy so I ordered this stabilizer. I ordered it in combination with a new track bar and drop down bracket from Rubicon Express after ripping off the stock one. After installing them both, I took it for a drive, through the streets, in and out of parking lots, on the highway at 75 ish mph. All seemed well, so I hit up a great trail near by, this trail has many boulders and deep ruts so I new it would deliver good feedback, which it did. I immediately noticed that my steering wheel would stay put through the whole trail, instead of bouncing all over the place. This I figured was the new track bar at work. I don't know if I noticed much of a difference from the stabilizer, my small shimmy in the steering wheel is gone now though. The only concern I had with putting the stabilizer on was, that I heard from a number of people that it would make my steering worse and the shimmy would also be worse because of the rebound in the shock. Because of this the guys at 4 Wheel Parts told me it is best to just go to the parts store and get an oem stabilizer. I took my chances and got this one anyway, and am happy with its performance and have noticed nothing negative about it, and the silver powder-coat is holding up nicely and looks good under there.

As described
This worked well on my TJ. I had bad death wobble which was fixed with a moog track bar but there was still some vibrations in the steering wheel which is gone after installing the new cylinder. To pull out the old tapered stud I had to use a pitman arm puller. Only time will tell how this stabilizer performs but right now I'm happy with it.I gave 4 stars only because instructions said to refer to poly bad P1511 but there was no bag labeled P1511 and no instructions on any bag.

Fixed My Death Wobble
I had death wobble on my '97 XJ and this solved the problem. I know people say that a steering stabilizer only covers the problem up but I had replaced so many steering components with no avail. My stock stabilizer was leaking oil so I bit the bullet and upgraded to this one... It completely solved the problem. I have even aimed for pot holes a couple times since I installed this and I can't get the death wobble to come back no matter what I do (so I stopped aiming for them haha)It bolted right into the stock brackets without adapters and took about 15 minutes to replace the old one.I have a 4.5" Rough Country Suspension Lift and this matches my shocks perfectly, so that is an added plus.

the shock seems to be pretty well built
I purchased this shock for a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, XJ. Overall, the shock seems to be pretty well built. It is much wider and stronger than the OEM shock which is what I needed after adding my 32's to my XJ.That said, I do have some complaining to do. The bolt that they provide is not the correct size and wont fit. It is much more narrow than factory, which leaves room for movement on the cylinder side of the shock. Furthermore, it is way too long. The bolt would not fit into the small area that you have to work with. I ended up using my original bolt and found a pin to hold the castle nut in place.Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase but not overly so. I would buy it again. The shaking (death wobble) I used to feel above 70MPH is completely gone.

It's a must purchase.
I'm the type of person that is skeptical regardless of reviews. I have to try something, love it and then make a decision. This thing is unbelievable. I thought the OEM stabilizer was well thought out and there's no way they'd get it wrong and it would be the best for the vehicle. I was wrong. My Jeep is 3.5" high, and it's the first Jeep I own and have never driven a stock one so idk if the death wobble is normal amongst all Jeeps, but this sure as hell did the trick. Much more stability and comfort when I drive. This is not something you should consider, it's something that should for sure be purchased. Changes the way you drive.

i love it
Its on my 97 jeep grand cherokee 4x4 and i love it, it feels more beefier than the stock one and smooth and lets talk about the removal of the old one you need 3/8 ratchet with sockets and extensions and a breaker bar and hammer and penetrating fluid and elbow grease no need for a torch and installation i reused both of the bolts from my old one and put on the new stabilizer and if you reuse the bolts make sure you have anti seeze to put on the bolts just in case if you need to take it off in the near future and it won't give you fits at all but its amazing
