This panel is the perfect improvement for the Y50! Installation took less than 5 minutes - this is my first replacement, and I could probably do this again in 2-3 minutes. There are several awesome Youtube vids showing the process for the Y50. Pros: - easy to do - right price - excellent viewing angles and much better color - far, FAR better contrast and color saturation than POS OEM panel - Best of all, there must be some tweak to the vids card's scalability features when connected to this panel - NO MORE FUZZY DIALOG BOXES!!! - Everything is now sharp and in focus! Cons: - the tiniest, and I mean VERY tiniest backlight bleed in one corner of the screen. Nothing more than exists on 75%+ of all laptops I've owned. Not noticeable at all unless I have a fully black screen, and what's the point of that? Summary: Lenovo should be ashamed of themselves for the POS yellow-tinted, low contrast, TN OEM screen on an otherwise stellar laptop. Everyone should do this upgrade!

I bought this screen to replace a poor quality TN panel on a Dell Inspiron 5577 Gaming Laptop. Wow is all I can say! I ordered this panel on Saturday afternoon and it arrived this Monday morning! No only did it get here in 48 weekend hours it was a beautiful replacement / upgrade! This is head and shoulders above the stock TN panels that they stuff into cheap gaming laptops. If your laptop screen is junk then I would recommend this any day! Pros: 1. Cheap 2. Easy to install 3. Incredibly sharp 4. Vibrant colors 5. Solid brightness but not the brightest Cons: None that I can think of!

The new IPS display is a major upgrade over the stock TN display for my Lenovo W541 laptop. The best "bang for a buck" next to putting an SSD in the laptop. The first display panel I received had a 1/8" white spot (bad pixels) near the middle of the screen. I returned it and the replacement that came in two days, is perfect. I can now see my screen without having to constantly adjust its angle and the colors are so much more vivid. The brightness is also very good. I tried it outdoor on max setting and it's bright enough to see everything. Normally, I run the brightness at around 75% and it seems just right. It is nice to see the whites as white and the blacks and black. Before they were just light and dark grays!

Buyers beware! I originally bought this display as a replacement for my i5577’s crappy TN panel, and while it worked, it was a BEAUTIFUL alternative. Problem is: 3 days later, the screen begins flickering purple, green, white and black all over whenever anything moves within windows (it boots and everything properly, but at the login screen, nope). Very disappointed because it looked like this would be a great replacement, but... I can’t use a screen that doesn’t do what it’s one intended function is. Returning immediately.

Follow up: 09/13/18: I've reached out to the original retailer that sold me my original AUO panel, as they no longer have an Amazon store; the LCD they've sent me was a "compatible" LG screen; the same exact ugly one my laptop shipped with! Anyways, be aware, this whole LCD replacement part business is a mess; you won't know what you're getting until it arrives. At this point, I may just give up, use the original LG screen that came with my laptop, and not stress over finding a nice replacement B156HAN01.2. Follow up 09/09/18: My dog decided to jump on my lap while working on my laptop and destroyed the AUO screen I've ordered a year ago. Since I was really pleased with the LCD screen, I've decided to order a replacement from my shopping history. Vivo is shipping an InnoLux N156HCE-EAA INSTEAD of the AUO B156HAN01.2. The quality of the InnoLux is nowhere as near as nice as the AUO panel. So, I'm reaching out to Amazon to have this rectified now since Vivo is failing to ship the correct product. If you do order this product, check the part number before installing to verify! Wonderful LCD panel! a perfect upgrade and replacement to the Best Buy version of the MSI GS63VR gaming laptop. Installation took about 5-10 minutes with only an old plastic card, guitar pick, and small phillips screwdriver. The beauty of this panel is the color accuracy compared to the factory installed LG panel. If you are upgrading the MSI GS63VR's screen, be sure to carefully start separating the bezel near the bottom right hinge since it's not taped there. Slowly and carefully move your plastic wedge around the bezel taking care of the left hand side since the webcam/mic cable is under there. + Maximum brightness is rated at 300 cd/m2, mine measured around 270-290 cdm2. + Color accuracy after calibration for D65, SRGB has an average deltaE of 2.1. A value <1 is not visible to the human eye for color inaccuracy; an average value of >3 is failing. In comparison of color accuracy to the factory LCD, I couldn't obtain a close to passing on Calman ColorChecker free. If I can recall from memory, the best the factory panel obtained was a average deltaE of ~12 points, with a single point nearly ~20; truly an ugly screen compared to this gem! + Viewing angles are still excellent. - Slight backlight bleed on the bottom left and right as shown in another reviewer's posting, it's only visible with a completely black screen, not during normal content, als the contrast measured around 1300:1 native. Not bad overall, still a nice screen to look at for gaming. - Another reviewer was able to "overclock" his panel to 100hz. In doing so, my screen backlight almost seemed to flicker even after reverting back to 60hz and rebooting. Fortunately, after shutting down and starting up, the screen returned to normal. Highest overclock I'm able to run successfully without any weird issues is 64hz. It's not worth the headache for me. YMMV Sorry, there's not too much I know about color calibration besides the most simple concepts, but this turned my annoying MSI gaming laptop that I couldn't stand into something that's a pure joy to use. Don't think twice, just buy it!

I got this from seller ScreenS. It was delivered within 24 hours of ordering It even though I did not choose one day shipping. Shipment and deliery was super FAST! Thank you! It was packaged nicely and securely. When I opened it and looked at the label it the back, it had the glossy screen model number B156HAN01.1 instead of the 01.2. It kinda scared me but once I peeled the screen protector off of the screen, I saw it was matte finish 01.2. It took 5 minutes to install it on my Lenovo G50-45 laptop. Screen will flicker and turn black on the initial boot up but if you turn the power off and restart, it will display the output correctly. It is 1080 display and way nicer than the original TN 1366x768 resolution panel. Better viewing angles and now I am able to adjust display to full HD on the laptop. My only complaint about the display is its brightness. It is bit dim compared to the original TN panel. Other than that, I am loving the extra screen space now available on my laptop due to increase in screen resolution. Easy to install, fast shipping, good quality product.

Direct replace for my Dell Inspiron 15 5000. Easy to install and I think the picture quality is better than the original ever was.

This panel looks absolutely fantastic. The color representation is vibrant and accurate, and the dynamic range is very nice with deep blacks and bright whites. I used this to replace the screen on my 2017 Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Series laptop. You know, the one with the absolutely terrible screen. Installing this screen really was like night and day, and is beaten only by my 24" Dell Ultrasharp desktop monitor in terms of color quality. Except... It's barely been two months and there are already five stuck sub-pixels, three of which happened within 30 days of me installing the panel into my laptop. Two blues, two greens, and one red. I've never had a screen have this many pixels break, nor have I ever had a screen have *any* pixels break this quickly. The fastest I've ever had a pixel die was on my ThinkPad T520 after four or five years. If the amount of pixels that break passes 6 before the end of the year I'm changing my review to 1 star. The only reason I haven't returned it or asked for a refund is because from a usability perspective this isn't that big of a deal because when the screen is displaying brighter colors, I don't really notice it, and I don't watch movies on this screen so immersion isn't a huge concern. But I don't think I'll be buying another AU Optronics screen again unless it's a REALLY good deal.
