LIHAN 2 USB Car Charger,12V/24V Voltage Meter, Black

This is a triple USB outlet that plugs into the usual cigarette lighter socket of a vehicle. The first thing I noticed is that the spring in the base is very strong. The unit required a good amount of force to push it into the socket all the way. This is good for my purposes because I am using it in a 4WD vehicle that gets a lot of hard bumps that could dislodge a weaker spring. If one is going to constantly insert and remove this unit, the amount of force may eventually damage the outlet. Much left unsaid in the description of this unit, so I researched the amperages of several devices that I will be using in my vehicle. I will fill in the blanks in the advertising. First, the green outlet labeled QC 3.0 means that the maximum amperage output at this port is 3.0 amps. The unit is rated at 36 watts which means that at 12 volts, all the power would be going to this port for a device drawing 36 watts. Luckily, most iphones use 20 watts so there will be 16 watts left for the other 2 ports. Not mentioned are the amperages of the other two ports. For USB 2.0 the maximum is 0.5 amp and for USB 3.0 it is 0.9 amps. This comes out to 6 watts and 11 watts. If one is trying to use two iphones, the one on the 3.0 port will stay charged but the one on the other port will not. One must be careful about how many devices are being used on this unit. All in all it is ideal for my purposes which are to use a GPS, a hand held GMRS radio and a cell phone. All together those do not exceed 36 amps. A nice feature is that the detected volts in the cigarette socket is displayed in blue on the unit. The reading I get is 12.8 V which is probably accurate. This may give one warning if the battery in the vehicle is getting weak, which is any voltage less than 12 V.

This little 12/24 volt adapter with 2 USB ports is well worth the money. If you're like me, your car has no voltmeter so you're only aware of battery or alternator trouble when you see a warning light on the dash... which by then is too late. This handy device will not only charge up to two devices, but will show you how many amps are being pulled from the battery while doing so. And when nothing is charging it displays how many volts your battery is currently operating at. And because of its short plug length, it doesn't stick out of your outlet like a lot of dual or triple USB adapters. In fact, it only ends up protruding one quarter of an inch from my dash. (Your results may vary depending on your car's interior design.) No matter how well it fits, for $10, its a steal for two USB ports, a voltmeter, and an ammeter all wrapped in a simple, sleek, shiny black adapter with a handy little digital display. Far more than you get with most of your basic 12/24v USB adapters.

Wish I'd known this was available years ago. Knowing the battery voltage under different conditions (loads) is huge! Being able to plug in 2 USB charging cords (phone & dashcam) cleaned up a lot of "wire-mess" and makes driving just that much nicer.

Worked great, and liked being able to see the voltage reading. However, the metal pieces on the side would get pushed up into the charger when I plugged it in sometimes. Now it's totally broken and having to buy a new one after less than a year of using it.

Adapter works fine and offers alot for the money. Returned it for one that is flush with the outlet.

Smaller than expected but after getting the equipment setup it fit perfectly. Numbers are decent, so no distractions at night. Seems to charge well.

Use it on my boat. Very useful. Saved a lot of money putting a voltage gauge in the dash. It also gives you 2 USB connection. This is a must have for me.

Terrific well made USB port....Needed 3 USB ports and this was the only one available.
