One of the Most Comfortable Keyboards I've Ever Used
I love this mechanical keyboard. I love that its wired too and I don't have to worry at all about latency (a delay between hitting a key and having it register.) I shouldn't crosstalk, but I find the video from the reviewer who recorded the sounds of the keys clicking a hoot. I do get a bit of a squeak from the backspace key, but I find I can eliminate that sound entirely if I'm careful where I hit it. But it doesn't bother me much so mostly I ignore it. The sounds made by the longer keys, in general, stand out a bit because all the other keys are super smooth and relatively quiet. The spacebar key, for example, does click more than the others, but I've never known one that didn't. I think it has to do with where the mechanical register is under the key in relation to the edges and ends of it. I guess it's hard for anyone to remember now what electric typewriters used to sound like. They were a lot closer to the sound of a snow blower than anything on this keyboard, so maybe I'm more easily satisfied. I love the soft wrist rest. I try to keep my wrists and the heels of my hands off it while typing, except for now and then, but its so comfortable to rest on in between sentences, and helps keep my fingers right on the home keys making it so it's easy to start typing again. I haven't used any of the extras, like controlling the sound or navigating the internet. The options for height control and tilt are superior to any other keyboard I saw on Amazon or any that I've ever owned. That's big, for me. No backlighting, alas, but I could always hang a disco ball over my desk. I'm just a simple soul who was just looking for a really comfortable, solidly made, robust feeling, and nice looking keyboard and this one fills the bill. (I can't decide whether it's funny or insane that, in the reviews of some keyboards, they get a 4 1/2 star rating, on average, but the thing the reviewers most often criticize is how the keys work. So did they buy them for the volume controls? For me, that's either a serious hit to Amazon reviewer's credibility or to the AI program Amazon is using to summarize the reviews. The old time Jazz musician Bix Beiderbecke got a summer gig in the Catskills and bought a car to get around the rural roads. It soon broke down and he never fixed it. In the mornings, he'd use the rear view mirrors to shave in. His friends would ask why he didn't get rid of it, and he'd say, "Oh, well, in the country one simply MUST have an automobile!" I'm sure he'd have given that car 4 1/2 stars, too.)

This is THE one!
I spend several hours a day at my computer. My business depends on my rapid response to email inquiries from my website(s).I'm also a speed typist. I guess that's why I shy away from texting, because I don't like to communicate at 10% speed! My old Sony Vaio keyboard has been passed down through several iterations of new computers... tossing the $5 keyboard that came with each new machine in favor of Sony's tactile feel and real rotary knob volume control. However, I finally had to admit it was time to retire my beloved keyboard. Skipped keys, and most all of the lettering worn off the keypads. After a lot of research, I settled on this Kensington, based on many other favorable reviews.Well, I'm just in the first few hours of ownership, but I'm already in love, and the old VAIO keyboard has already been relegated to my Smithsonian collection!Things I love about this keyboard:*) Nice mechanical tactile feel of the keys*) A good full-sized keyboard with ample spacing in between keys to accommodate my less-than-delicate paws*) Quick and responsive. I can't seem to get "ahead" of it, as was sometimes the case with the old one*) 9 different angles available with multi-height front and rear supports (well.. if you consider front UP and back DOWN a useable typing position!)*) Effortless installation.. Take it out of the box, plug in to a USB port, and start typing*) PERFECT permanent wrist pad in front. Now I can toss my separate dirty foam wrist pad which always winds up on the floor*) BEST OF ALL: Those pre-programmed buttons at the keyboard top. And, they work perfectly from the git-go.. no programming, no device driver disk, just works. Buttons are available to: a) Bring up the My Computer File Explorer window (I only do this about 50 times a day) b) Start a new window of your default browser c) Bring up your default music/media player and with dedicated play/pause/skip/stop buttons d) Volume Mute/Up/Down e) Bring your default email program into focus f) Open your computer SEARCH screen g) CalculatorI would buy this keyboard again just to have all those functions available. I can see this is going to save me substantial time daily. Finally, according to the included paperwork, this keyboard has a LIFETIME (limited) warranty!! Really? In these days of 90 day warranty for multi-thousand dollar devices? Just amazing.I almost feel like just going ahead and ordering another of these keyboards just to have as a spare it case they quit making them.I think this must be the very best keyboard available at any price. Why didn't I get one of these keyboards two years ago!

Great keyboard
I just bought a new one to replace the same model after 10 years. After searching around to look at gaming keyboards and other models, I just kept coming back to this. The wrist pad feels great. Feet adjustment on the closer side of the board helps with removing the bend. the keys are quiet (not a fan of the click of most gaming boards. it's simple and works well. Glad to be able to buy a new one after 10 years.

Great Keyboard
Wired Keyboard, function keys are only function keys, keypad. These are the things I wanted, and that's what this delivers. My only gripe is the homing bars (the bumps on the f and j keys) are too small, I had to cut into the key with a knife to give them more definition.Otherwise, the keyboard works great. The volume and mute buttons are a little weird, but I'm just glad they're not assigned to F keys.

Keyboard
A nice ergonomic keyboard with soft touch keys, very pleased with. Some keys are not the same layout as UK setup but they can be easily changed.

Comfortable wrist rest...
What I like most about this keyboard is the built in wrist rest. I have severe arthritis in my thumb joints. As a result a normal keyboard is super uncomfortable because my thumbs have no direct support. An add on wrist rest isn't as effective as the one that is part of this keyboard. Keys took a while to get used to but they seem to work well. The keyboard is fairly quiet too, compared to my older, standard Dell keyboard. I recommend this keyboard for anyone with arthritis in their hands. Also, the edge of the built in wrist rest sits right at the edge of my desk which allows me to avoid the sharp ridge of my desk.

Not as quiet as indicated
My wife could type like a ape. So maybe that's a issue... very aggressive typer.. she is married to me so, maybe that's what's happening.. Rage typer

The keys on the key board require too much finger pressure
The first unit I had, the space bar required direct and firm pressure and only in center of the space bar. I ordered an exchange unit and found on the second one the enter key was causing the same problem. Returned for a refund.
