Love these! I was considering glass straws, but 1) I'm a little clumsy and 2) I have four legged, tailed friends who like to knock things over. When I came across these (unbreakable, food grade, stainless steel) and saw that they came in a variety of sizes at a reasonable price, I was sold. I originally bought these for the 6" size to sip my warm tea in the evening without staining my teeth. I figured the other sizes were an extra bonus. Turns out, they all work perfectly for pretty much every drink/cup I own and I've ended up using them for everything. The longest one fits perfectly in my 24 oz Tervis tumbler, the middle sized one works in my 16 oz Tervis tumbler and the smallest size works in my tea cup and my cans of bubbly water. And, (bonus) the small 6" one works perfectly in my small cocktail glasses and beer cans while I'm reclining in a lounge chair outside by the water. No more having to sit up fully to get a refreshing sip or risk spilling a drink on myself! I was worried that there would be a metallic taste, but there's absolutely zero taste from the straws, even when sipping purified water. I was also concerned that the straws would get too warm when I was sipping on a warm drink, but they don't. (I do let my drink cool a little more than I normally would if I were sipping it without a straw). Oh, and I had a couple questions for the seller...they answered all my questions within twenty four hours and have fantastic customer service! I will definitely be ordering more of these for other family members.

It's a good feeling to know that you're not contributing to more plastic pollution. 'What's a little straw?' I thought, but then realized that over my lifetime, I've used thousands. No more, now I'll use these at home. I would give 5 stars, but the bend is a little too much angle for me - a personal opinion. They are sturdy, should last forever, and having three lengths is great!As a Prime member, I buy a LOT of stuff from amazon. Living out in a rural area far from a city, amazon is my go-to source for many of my purchases. I love being able to carry these in my pouch in my pocketbook. (It would be convenient to add a carry pouch for those who don't have a separate bag to carry their used straw home with them!) the larger straw- since it is bent -does take up some space if you carry a smaller bag, and therefore may have to stay home. I used my glass of water and sipped some to rinse out the juice I was drinking with my meal before packing it back home. I think it's great to have the mini brushes to help clean.These are very practical for folks who are bed bound and have to sip from cups and for folks who live in RVs so they can save space and not have to buy wasteful plastic straws that will just be thrown out. Paper straws are hard to find and are a waste of money when you have this offering if you don't want to drink from questionable glasses. The metal does get cold but you can get colorful silicon tips for them.

Straws are great for keeping your smile bright. One downside to the product is that all straws are the same diameter (about the same as regular plastic straws) and it is not very great for hot drinks. You may get your mouth burned occasionally. Besides, the main reason I bought them is for hot drinks and stressing less about BPA and other stuff media warns us about plastic use side effects.The manufacturer should probably consider issuing narrow and flat straws made for hot drink specifically, as this design allows hot beverage to cool down while traveling up. Given they've already been offering different lengths, narrow diameter hot drink straws should probably be something that goes along with their marketing strategy--variety.

These are great if your wanting straws that are reusable and create less waste than plastic ones. Hubby and I try to not get straws from fast food when we go out to create a little less waste. I know it's not a big difference but every little bit helps. I just wish the packaging was plastic free so that it could be 100% zero waste. That's the only reason for the four stars. It is so nice to have a variety of sizes. For instance, the longest straw is long enough for my Sub Zero glass! (Whew! I've been looking for a long enough one for ages!) I use the smallest one (6") in a soda can in the car while I am driving so I can have a sip without throwing my head back to drink from the can or to get the last drop! My son loves the middle straw (8") for his juice glass. He says that the metal keeps his juice colder, but the straw adds no 'metal' taste, just coldness. The slant on the straw is also useful for drinking while lying down. You can throw these straws into the dishwasher not the landfill !!! They will never break either...as glass will.
