Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 3-Quart Saute with Glass Lid

I have a few other Calphalon pieces, and realized that I needed a saute pan, with deeper sides for when I made primavera type dishes. I debated on the size, as there are just two of us (occasionally three when my son visits), and it is just the right size. As with my other Caphalon cookware, it cooks like a dream and cleans up very easily. Look for the best price on it. I got it from a dealer and it was said to be new. It came without any Calphalon packaging, but nicely packed in a box. It has a tiny dent along the edge of the lid, but it could have happened in shipping and is barely noticeable. It was $60 less than the next cheapest seller, I so I am satisfied.

This Calphalon saute pan replaces an old Calpalon pot of mine. I like the Calpahlon brand, except for the problem of water collecting in the crevice of the lid, where the glass meets the metal when you wash the lid. Other than that, the bottom is nice and straight and even for even cooking on my glass top range. The pot is fairly heavy, but not extreme like some other brands. I like the long handle and the small grab handle on the opposite side - this makes it easy to lift when it has a lot of contents. I wash mine by hand and I can mange it in my large sink. And I don't just use it for sauteing, I heat many other things that requite a larger pot.

I already had this particular pot, but over time it got a little "beat up" and I wanted to replace it. It's the perfect cross between a sauce pan and a saute pan. I use it more than any other pot in my cabinet.

I have several pieces of Calphalon cookware. The food never sticks, they are easy to clean and I havenever had to replace any of them. I would never buy anything else.

Bought this to replace a pot I had for many years that the coating was coming off.
