#2 Vegetable Tan Import Cowhide Leather Strip 8/9 oz (1-1/2"x50")

I am going to make a couple of belts with this leather.The first belt will be 1.5" wide with a 1" wide belt keeper and two snaps so the buckle can be replaced if the ownerdoesn't like the buckle on the belt.I will post a photo of my first belt when I get it finished.Well I made a couple of belts and planned to upload a photobut was not given that option when editing my review.The belts turned out good considering they are the firstbelts that I have ever made.

Not much to say except this is one of those occasions where what you see is what you get - which is a GOOD thing..many times products received don't match the picture, in this case it does. Great piece of leather, shipped quickly at a fair price. I needed it to replace a part on a Yamaha Grand piano so I cutout what I needed, but this worked great for me- exactly what I needed.

Sometimes the leather is shredded on the inside, and nearly impossible to strip into laces. Other times beautiful leather that works perfectly. I wish they had a little more consistency in air quality.

After making a belt from leather purchased directly at a leather store I wanted to make another as a gift. This blank strip was easily as good as the first one I'd purchased but at about one quarter the cost. Length and width and thickness were exactly as expected and the surface of the leather was free from scratches or imperfections (other than what one may expect from a natural product). With some measured cutting and shaping, dye and finish treatment, my second belt turned out fantastic as well. Very happy with purchase and would definitely buy again.

For the price it is a decent product. There were several flaws in the two 1.5" belt blanks i purchased and they were not cut very straight. Once stamped and dyed it was hard to see the flaws. As a beginner leather stamper it gave me inexpensive leather to learn on and the belts I made turned out better than I expected. The material takes stamping and dye well. Having purchased higher grade blanks since getting these.......you get what you pay for. Beginners, those on a tight budget or just making a work/everyday belt these are fine.
