It is very true you are not gonna do much with this without sending them your CPU. This scared me alot but was easy and 100% worth it. Let me tell you what it did for me, the screen gauges are great; i live in the Ky foot hills and its up and down constantly. My 2018 jk jeep ( with 35’s ) would continually shift gears, more than it should. The 91 octane tune fixed this and added wY more power. On long hills my temp would spike to 240 go back down when done with hill. This tune fixed this, it never gets above 219 now, the fan comes on earlier and stays on longer. Theres alot involved with this unit but it changed my jeep driving experience from shit to being great to drive again. Exactly what i needed

Glitchy all they time and errors. All the features don’t work like advertised. When I called customer service I basically got called stupid because their website sucks. For a jk do not buy. There are programmers that do the same for a lot less

While this is a big step forward for this technology it missed some ease of use steps. Directions are limited. The items on the screen are easy enough to figure out but some preloaded screens based on vehicle type would have been a good idea. The skins have some random preload but none of them really cover the basics. It takes some doing but eventually you will get the right feel for your setup. Price is high for what you get. Once its set up it becomes a monitoring device and you will have only occasional interaction with it. While it has presented with some freezing/glitches simply unplugging and plugging back in always fixes it. Items like setting tire size for odometer are more of a science then fact. Many miles and changes later its still off but only by a fraction of a mph. Great buy if half the price with these issues.

Will this tune your shift points, adjust your speedo, tune your fuel? Yeah. But you can do all that for a lot less. It is super slow. Moving between features and screens takes 10-20s. Screen animation like swipes are janky. Some things like the pitch/roll screen don’t work well. For instance, you can’t zero it. The manual procedure does not work. And it’s super jittery. Cool features like external device control (lights) via their EAS system, requires hundreds of dollars of add on accessories. Other features are for Rubicon only, and useless to non Rubicon owners.Only reasons to buy this unit are:- You have a Rubicon- You want real PID values vs idiot gaugesAll other features can be had and done better for less money.

So far it works good with great customer service.

My battery was really low and I lost the tune I had in my jeep and every time I tried to reinstall the tune it had an error message… I factory reset and updated drivers and nothing. I sent it back Nov 30th and it’s now Dec 19th and it says it’s still “on the way back” so now I have a very expensive item lost in Amazon world and no refund. Trail dash is not worth the $$

Freezes up every time you use it and turn the truck off. you have to unplug it to reset. it never turns off drains the battery to the vehicle.

Tuner arrived installed on jkur couldn't use the td3 without a update updated it worked fine for a week now its freezing, glitching, and got tossed on my floor board this morning . Waste of money
