Amazing Sound - Awesome support!
I play in 2 active Classic Rock/R&B bands. One band uses QSC K12.2, the other uses these - which I've owned for 2 years. Both are incredible mains IMO. I purchased the RCF to replace my old 15" Yamaha Mains/Crown Amp setup and they blow that rig away in both sound quality and back pain (e.g.; weight). In my opinion, these edge out the QSC just slightly in sound quality. They have a little better room coverage than the QSC and the vocals (primarily Male in this band) are cleaner. I've used a pair for large outdoor events at about 35% power with no complaints. I've never run out of headroom or clipped the amps. I would buy these again over the QCS if I needed another pair. Even at the same price point. Regarding support; I did have an amp module failure on one speaker a few weeks ago. The bad amp blew out the compression driver (tweeter). Since I had registered the units with RCF, they are covered by a 3-year warrantee. I called the service center in NJ for repair advice. An actual HUMAN answered the phone and was extremely helpful. They asked me to swap amp modules on the speakers to identify the problem. For me personally, this was a much better option than shipping the whole speaker or driving 3 hours to a service center. The swap turned out to be very simple. Unfortunately, the bad amp immediately blew the driver in the second cabinet - which we knew was a risk, but is very uncommon. I called them back to let them know the results and they sent me a new amp and 2 new drivers overnight. At no point did they ever accuse that I abused the gear or did anything wrong on my end. Normally, I'd dock the gear at least 1/2 star for the failure, but the service was so good and so accessible that I'm sticking to my 5-Star rating. On the upside, I still used the bad speaker to get through a gig and the tweeterless sound was good enough that only a few of our most sound critical followers noticed (you know the type!).
