Awesome Ball Pit
Great little plan pin and love that it comes with the foam pads. It only comes with minimal balls so it was pretty sad looking until we ordered more.

This is a yes.
We've had for 3 months now. I have a less than gentle 3yr old that has put it to the ultimate test and we have had no sturdiness issues at all.We have 1000 balls and a slide going into it. It's a bit too much. Balls fly out everytime he slides down. I would recommend around 800 balls.

Worth the price
Kids love it. Hours of play. Only downsides; not enough balls; walls could be stronger.

Description is deceiving
Pictures and previous reviews indicate that you get a foam mat and 100 balls. As of 04/03/2024 that is no longer true. I ordered this specifically because of the mat and received the ball pit without the mat. I requested a replacement thinking it was in error and received the replacement without the mats and balls again. Very unhappy about the false advertising! Would be a pretty good item otherwise. A bit short, but large enough for my 4 year old and 2 year old to lay down in together.

BYOB - bring your own balls
This Gemma Joy ball pit is rather nice, but you are going to want to add a lot more balls to make it fun. This package comes in a single box that has 3 components. First, the fabric ball pit folds up tightly when not in use. But when you unfold it, the side walls have a little bit of rigidity to them, as if there is a piece of cardboard stitched inside each side wall panel. The bottom of the pit is just fabric though, so it's not rigid and it doesn't offer any cushioning. Second, there are foam panels that you put together like a puzzle to create a softer base for the ball pit. The instructions are not that great, but after you stare at it for a minute or two it's pretty easy to see how the puzzle goes together. You start by putting together 2x2 square, and then add curved pieces (that do have a correct and incorrect orientation), and finally add the "corner" pieces to create a full foam circle that fits inside the ball pit. The third component are the 100 included plastic balls. All the balls I received were in good shape (not crushed) and they come in two colors - clear and sort of a golden tan color. Putting the whole thing together and adding the balls takes less than 10 minutes, and after you do it once or twice it's less than 5 minutes. The ball pit can handle one or two kids ages 1-5. The older and bigger the kids get, the quicker it gets cramped in there and you risk kids bumping into each other. You'll have to gauge the effectiveness and longevity of this ball pit for the age, size, and general "rambunctiousness" of your kids.So why 4-stars and not 5? Well, it's two things. Selling this as a starter ball pit kit of sorts doesn't quite work. When you dump the included 100 balls in there it only covers 40-50% of the pit's bottom surface area. See the included picture for what that looks like. At minimum I think you want 200 balls in here, but to be honest, if you want it to really be what you think of when you think of a ball pit, you're going to need 400-600 balls in there. I added an extra 300 balls (to make 400 total) and it's not bad now but I would probably add another 100 balls if I saw them on sale. So factor that in when you buy this ball pit...you're going to have to pay for extra balls to make this fun. Additionally, there is a useful bag to hold the folded up fabric ball pit, but there is no reusable mesh bag to hold the included 100 balls. Whenever you buy a pack of 100 ball pit balls they almost always come with a mesh bag that has a zipper. Bummer that wasn't included here.So overall, this is a nice fabric ball pit with a good foam base. Its better quality than the cheap inflatable ball pits, for sure. But you need to add $30-50 in extra balls for this ball pit to reach it's full potential.

Very happy with this ball pit
The idea and functionality are great. Typically ball pits take up so much space so I love this one can easily be folded up for storage. Only con is the photo is very deceiving with the number of balls included. There are 100 but they don’t nearly fill even just the bottom of the pit. You’ll have to buy an additional 3-4 bags atleast to get it to look full.

Not sturdy
I bought 100 more balls thinking it would at least make one layer.. it did not (my fault I should have bought even more) I’m mostly disappointed in the sturdyness of it. My 8 month old could crawl right out by bending the side over. The package was a little banged up and the bag that the ball pit goes in was torn. Over priced for this item I feel
