Much better than the one you get from Hospital
I happened to break my forearm & elbow socket in August. The hospital provided me with a Blue neoprene sling whilst I was in there & I managed to beg a spare one of a nurse when I was leaving in case anything happened to the one they'd given me.All fine so far, however the stap that went from the wrist round your neck then back to the wrist only had half the velcro. It had the velcro hook bit but, probably thinking to save money, the manufacturer had not fitted the the other piece that the hook bit normally grips on. Instead they were relying on the hooks catching the polyprop surface of the sling itself. This was fine for 3 or 4 days but then, one morning, it suddenly gave way and my arm dropped.Apart from swearing a bit I was furious with the quality of the product the NHS think suitable as my arm was not a simple break & I had to be very careful with it as they'd had to replace my elbow ball joint along with the plate & screws. So, as usual my first stop was on here to find a better alternative. One of the pre-requisites for me was it had to be a ventilated mesh as another issue with the NHS Neoprene one was that it makes your arm very warm & then it sweats a lot....and you can do bugger all about it....which was driving me mad.I looked at a few and this HKJD one looked suitable. It arrived the next day and was indeed a big improvement on the hospital one.The size chart is pretty accurate so make sure you buy the right size. The sling if fine, it's big enough to fit your forearm & support the wrist. It's nice and cool due to the mesh, and it's suitable for either arm as you can see in the picturesThe neck strap is comfortable, the shoulder padding does its job and can be moved about to suit your preference and the waist strap doe help keep it all in place. All in all, very happy with the product, that much so that I bought a second one.

Arm support
If I'd taken notice of size the main strap could of been adjusted to suit. However, the main reason for ordering this sling was because it came with a second strap that goes around your back and attached to the other side to hold your arm close to your body. This strap was too short, so I had to buy an additional strap make it functional

Order one size larger than you measure!
The sling was good however after measuring my arm as per the size guide to determine the size, this was incorrect as the handle inside the sling was too close to my wrist so the sling wasn't long enough. I ended up not able to use the handle which meant that the sling frequently slid around my body even with the waist strap on.

Better Than Most
The tension support is good and stays in place. The shoulder pad is easy to slide into place so the strap does not cut into my neck. The overall support is good. However the strap to go around the body is far too short so couldn't use it to keep the arm/ shoulder immobilised when I really needed that facility. The thumb loops are very useful but they cut into the thumb webbing making the skin sore. If they were coated in padding of some sort that would make it far more comfortable.
