After a bout of high winds, my pool turned completely green with algae—no matter what I added or adjusted, nothing worked. I dropped PoolRx+ in hoping it could help, though I wasn't expecting miracles overnight. It took about two weeks, but wow—totally clear water now and not a single trace of algae. I haven’t had to shock or scrub like I used to. If you’re dealing with stubborn green water, give it some time and PoolRx+ should do the trick. Definitely glad I gave it a shot. During the two weeks I did have to brush the pool and walls to get the dead algae up so it would go to the filter. Cleaned my filter before and after.

My pool got to a state where weekly I’d have to brush algae off the wall even with strong chlorine and a good balance, only thing off was high particles. This also meant I had to clean the DE filter way more often. Did one last brush and shocked the pool, then added this product. Things cleared up, no longer have to add chlorine tablets, the salt generator is enough. Water clear, no algae growing on sides. This was expensive so I was tentative, but if it lasts 6 months we’ll worth it. Comes out to like $12/mo. Only bummer is I just restocked shock and chlorine tablets, and no longer need them. The bucket of chlorine alone cost more than this product anyways. Worth every penny.

amazing results. zero algae. my pool was turning green due to the temperature of the water which was getting high as i solar heat it every day. i have a very advanced ultraviolet & ozonator equipment (Quantum by Elecro) that do make my water sanitized but not enough to cope with an average water temp of 30-31 Celsius (after solar heating go into action). i was using for 3 years various solutions and had to occasionally put in the water chlorine and other stuff, but with very limited success. i found this product, tried it, and it solves the problem of green algae completely. i highly recommend it . installation was as easy as opening the pump basket and put it in. thats it.

If you clean your own pool, this will be the single best thing you can buy to keep it clean. 2 years now, zero algae problems after fighting it for 10+ years. Buy this.

I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this. I tried so many chemicals and everything was balanced but my pool was still cloudy and green. I put this into my pump basket and after 2 days and 3 backwashes, pool was crystal clear! Will buy one every year!

Works well but it’s just a big piece of copper pipe…

Are you kidding me? This product is a miracle! My water was greener than kermit then just dropped this sucker into skimmer and next morning, green all gone! Not exaggerating. I never had any luck with all the other chemicals....its a miracle product!

Sadly I can’t recommend this product anymore. My pool guy of 10 years (who I’m probably letting go shortly) recommended this product a couple years ago. I have purchased over a dozen of these over the years (I also help take care of brothers pool). We could never completely get rid of the algae in my brothers 2 year old pool. There is always a layer of fine “dust” which is actually algae. I have joined trouble free pool website and it’s been pretty eye opening. My pool guy also recommended against a salt cell but the website says it’s one of the best things you can do assuming you’re okay with the price of the parts needed (I can install it myself). They recommend higher levels of chlorine than the norm and they also recommend against using the Pool RX (they don’t like that it puts copper in the water along with proprietary ingredients they won’t reveal). Seeing as how my brother has never had a completely clear pool, it’s definitely worth trying something different.
