Purchased this to complement the textile loom kit I used to re-wrap all the wiring harnesses in my engine bay. The old plastic loom was disintegrating, and this textile tape was around all the wiring inside of the loom, as well as some short exposed segments. I think it offers some additional chemical barrier from oils and other fluids getting to the wire insulation. After a few months, it's all holding up quite well. I used silicone tape at most of the ends near the connectors. It seems to stay stuck and not unravel, so that helps terminate sections wrapped in this tape.My only gripe is that this tape will tend to peel up from the end when used in small-diameter applications or it's frequently handled or flexed. I tried using it to repair/strengthen the ends of some phone charging cables, and after a few days the loose end would start to peel up. I was hopeful it was "magic" tape that I could use for everything because the textile backing is great, but alas, it's best for its intended purpose. Not docking any stars for that =) I think the adhesive is just not good for charging cord material, but sticks to standard wiring insulation and plastic loom/etc just fine.

I rebuild small engines and work on cars all the time, Every time I use this stuff on custom harnesses, I always get compliments, it looks factory and sticks fantastic. I Recently used it on my 2010 camaro SS with headers to protect my wires and it not only works amazing but looks awesome aswell.

This stuff is great and very easy to work with to get a tight and even wrap.

This is a reorder of one that I had used up already. I used it for wrapping wiring harnesses on 1960s Pontiacs. It's strong, stays together and I like the heat resistant quality. I will keep this in my electrical toolbox and sure I will be using it again.

Part of my engine harness had old plastic and tape crusting away, so I decided to clean it up and wrap it with this. It's not easy to do but it looks pretty good and has been holding up well. I know those temps under the hood are HOT. Time will tell if it holds up but this high heat variant is supposed to be the right one for the job.

This is basically what the auto industry uses to tape up wire looms, etc. I use it for when I make a repair. It keeps the moisture out snd stays on girls long time. Great stuff.

Excellent for vehicle restorations to wrap wiring harnesses. Much better than the shiny electrical tape.

Heat resistant for wrapping wiring harnesses in the engine bay. Other wraps are not heat resistant. Be careful when selecting wrapping tape for high heat areas.
