I created a 70’ walkway from my back porch to our driveway using this as a border on each side. For the walkway I used pea gravel and slate stepping stones. I stripped the turf off the lawn and placed the border on top of the bare ground. I went with this size border as I cut my lawn at 3.5”, so I didn’t have to worry about my mower blade hitting it.As many reviewers suggest you should unroll the border material and leave it in the sun for at least 4 hours. It makes it much easier to work with. As far as installation, take your time and make sure you pull the material tight as you go along. It will get wavy on very hot sunny days but straightens out as temperature cools. My only issue is I wish they provided more stakes. The stakes they provide are awesome though. I have very hard, rocky clay soil in my area and I hosed the walkway down pretty well the evening before Installation. It made the work a little messy but the stakes went In nicely. I did order additional stakes on Amazon, which were a bit flimsier but still worked well. Stakes at the big box stores are almost $1 a piece. It was worth it to me to place stakes every 2nd or 3rd hole, though many reviewers placed much further apart. I would not recommend that for pea gravel.

I needed to do above ground Gardening because there were too many tree roots in the ground. I had a large space that I needed to fill, And this border did the job as it acted as planter. It was sturdy, firm, tall, and everything I needed for this project.

We were installing these edgers on grass but the spikes were so flexible that was a problem to try to put them in the ground. They bended very bad. They looked like twizzlers. I thought they were metal.

I was worried that this edging would not work on our rocky soil but it went down in record time. I followed one of the reviewers suggestion to unroll it for a day. I did that and it was a breeze to put down. I ordered extra "nails" but ended up sending them back as they were not needed. My bed looks very neat now and the mulch is not getting scattered around. Very professional looking.

This worked for the simple project I had(edging for around my grape vines). I have semi rocky soil with clay so it’s kind of rough ground. The stakes it comes with are plastic but as long as you’re not trying to slam them in with one hit then you’ll be fine. I did break a few of the tops (the nail part still went all the way in the ground so it’ll be covered by the mulch).

The edging itself is a good product. However, the anchors are not good at all. They are flimsy and will not penetrate any sort of difficult soil like Clay, which is prominent in our area. Furthermore, the head of the anchors have a tendency to snap off easily. Disappointed With the anchors.
