Bassinet Mattress - Size 16x32

I really like this mattress for our baby's bedside bassinet. It's much thicker and more comfortable than the cheap flimsy mattress that came with it. The only problem I had was I feel like the bassinet mattress is an unusual size, and after hours of searching I still haven't found sheets that would actually fit it. All the sheets were huge and hanging off both ends, which made me nervous for safety reasons, even though I would tuck them under the mattress as best I could. Yesterday I had an epiphany when taking the sheets off our bed to wash them, and realized king pillowcases would fit this mattress. I found some extra king pillowcases and layered them (absorbent pad, pillowcase, another absorbent pad, pillowcase). It's not idea, since it would be easier to just pull a wet sheet off in the middle of the night instead of having to lift the mattress and remove the pillowcase, but I can deal with it.

I purchased this mattress because the bassinet i borrowed from a friend needed a new one. It was impossible to find one that fit at any of the big stores that carry baby supplies. This was a perfect fit, and I was able to easily find sheets to fit it. Wish it were just a little thicker, but I didn't find any other mattresses that were, so I would get this one again if given the choice.

I bought this to replace a Safety 1st bassinet that was actually 15 inches by 29. This was the closest size I could find. It actually worked really well. The frame of the bassinet is just cardboard so I was able to push it out a little and it fits great. Bassinet mattresses are not supposed to be thick, they are just supposed to protect the baby from the hard frame. I learned too late that bassinets are not at all standard sized, but check yours to see if the frame can be adjusted a little. I would suggest going bigger rather than smaller so there aren't any gaps. This is a really nice, reasonably priced choice :)

This item was shipped in a box that fit it perfectly, no folds and wasn't banged up anywhere.I was nervous about how the mattress would fit as I need it for a cradle that my stepdad made. These were the closest to the measurements of the bottom of the cradle. The mattress fits it like it was custom made for it! The mattress is also firm, but not hard or uncomfortable--something else I had been worried about since the bottom of the cradle is wood. Bassinet sheets fit the mattress not quite perfectly, but well enough to work.Very satisfied with this mattress! It was clean, shipped well, and is exactly what I need to finish my son's cozy cradle!

This is a great mattress. It fits my 42 year old handmade cradle perfectly. Much thicker than the mattress on the new bassinet that I borrowed for the birth of my first child. It came flat in a box, not folded like others have said. The plastic covering on mine is smooth, not quilted like in the picture. Like all mattresses with a plastic/vinyl case, it is a bit noisy, but that's to be expected unless you get a mattress with another type of case.

This is suppose to be a 16 X 32 mattress. It is not. It's actual measurements are 15.75 X 31. Needless to say it does not fit properly, which is a safety issue. I'm very disappointed.I attempted to return this item but ran into issues huge isses with the seller. The seller was extremely slow at responding to emails and never refuned my money (dispite having mailed the mattress back to them). My money was finally refunded when I had involved Amazon.com. I wish I didn't purchase this.NOTE, in my original feed back I left the seller a 2 star rating. However, I have since changed that rating to a 1 star. The reason for the one star is due to (1) the continued difficulty in getting my refund; and (2) because the seller contacted me after leaving 2 stars and offered me free sheets and a 10% off coupon if I changed my rating. I find conducting poor business and then later bribing customers to give you a high rating to be extremely unethical.

Bassinet mattresses in this size are very hard to come by at this price. The foam is not the most dense but it works perfectly for baby and for bassinets. Comes sealed in plastic but it does not have a strong odor like most foam mattresses do. However, we aired it out for a couple of days for good measure. Highly recommend - no need to spend two or even three times as much. This mattress does the job perfectly.

Bought to replace an old bassinet mattress. Does it's job. But I probably could have used an 18x34 mattress. No complaints about this one.
