Good cane with utility use too
I bought this primarily for getting into back country when going up steeper hills is easier with a walking stick, or when personal safety might be an issue (dogs, thugs, wild animals and the like) and a bit of visual deterrent might be a handy thing to have. The metal spike on handle is reassuring, since you might need to break a vehicle window for emergency egress if you get into worst case scenario of an accident…Which probably won’t happen, but you just never know. Smaller window breaker/seat belt cutters are okay, but they can be out of reach in such a case because everything in the vehicle goes airborne quickly after a really bad collision. Sure, that might never happen, but like car insurance, it gives you that much more peace of mind. I would not count on the blade for defending myself, because an attacker just ain’t likely to wait patiently while you unscrew it for access, but it would be very handy to ward off animals or even spear a fish if you got into a survival situation in back country. I like it because it does have a lot of utility uses beyond the obvious, and it’s one more thing that might be very useful for a number of situations, and it’s a handy thing to have around for more than one reason!

Phenomenal walking stick!!!
This tactical hiking stick is excellent!Solid construction, very sturdy. it is EXACTLY the right height to be used as a cane. This is probably one of my best purchases in the past few years. It's going to be very useful the next time some coyote or unfriendly dog decides to confront my wife and me on our morning walk! Highly recommended!!

It is a strong metal hiking stick. The case is excellent

Solid but quite heavy
It is way heavier than I expected. Much too heavy and uncomfortable to take on hikes.

Cane is good, company sucks.never
Won't buy from a company that doesn't make the product again. Can't find or buy parts for it anywhere.

Appears sturdy.
I received my “Flying Bird” brand walking stick, which is pretty much a twin to the aiProducts stick which I bought earlier. The only differences are that this one is a bit cheaper, has one less tool, is black, and about 1-1/2” shorter. Oh, and the kit bag is black and total junk. Also made in China (any bets on it being in the exact same factory?), and the parts are all interchangeable one stick to the other. Both cane ends are made of the same hard rubber that will slide on about any surface. They are handsome sticks, though. The paramedics can compliment either as they load you onto the gurney!
