First if there is any questions about this being the real "Texas Power Bar" it is. I am a 198 powerlifter who squats and Deadlifts 500+ and this bar is great. Bar bites your hands, in a good way, so there is no slipping on the heavy deadlifts and does the same on your back so the bar does not shift at all. Flex is good and is noticeable around the 370-410 pound area, with no "whip" at the top if your a quick puller or if you shoot out of the hole during the squat. My wife, my training partner, and I all agree it was the best buy for the home gym so far (we were given the squat rack for helping some one move).

I’m glad I purchased this bar. The space in my home gym is tight. I still use my 7’ bar for squats and bench press, but it can be a pain to set up. I’m glad I have this bar for shoulder press, upright row, biceps curl, etc. It’s a lot easier to maneuver around since it’s a foot shorter. And even though it’s a foot shorter than standard Olympic bars, there plenty of room in-between collars to easily rack in my power cage. I have a 6’ 1-inch bar, but it doesn’t rack well since the collars just barely fit in the j-hooks. This bar is the best of both worlds because it’s shorter, but racks just fine.

The bar in fact was Chrome and not black. I accept it because I knew it was going to be too difficult to return it and get a new one.

Holding Up well. Had for a couple of months now.

Wonderful buddy caps bar, defiantly spend the money and get a real power bar, you will thank yourself for the next 20+ years. One thing to never skimp on.
